10 month surgery anniversary

I'm in the 270s - I was 278 this morning, so I lost 10lbs last month.  I'm glad to see the weight loss is still trucking along.  Its never as fast as you hope, but as long as the scale is still falling yippee! I had a wow moment today - I took a bath.  In my bathtub.  I haven't fit into it ever.  In fact, for years, I've only taken baths in special huge jacuzzi tubs when we get a hotel room in my hometown.  Before, in my bath tub,  I would sit on a stool and just soak my legs.  In the hotel this past week I learned I was able to take a bath in a normal bathtub, so I tried it at home and yep, I fit.  Big time happy dance!  I LOOOOVE baths.  I feel like a normal person now.  So 10 months is good.  I haven't taken pictures yet, and I haven't posted many vacation pictures yet, I've been entranced in a series of books for the past 2 days (I've read a book a day, one more to go and then I guess I have to have a life again). When I was at the game I looked like a little kid in grown up clothing.  My jeans  that I bought RIGHT after surgery finally started fitting about 2 weeks ago.  They are now too big - I waited 10 months and they fit for two weeks.  They were dragging on the ground and hanging off me.  The shirt I wore, a majorly oversized 1x, was supposed to be 3/4 inch sleeves but it was long sleeve on me and went to my knees.  Then my jacket - an old 38 - which I had to hem the sleeves on before, hung off me and was much too long in the sleeves.  You know the Talking Heads video where they are all in oversized white suits?  PIcture that.  This clothing thing is just crazy.  I am learning that there is actually a rather small person under all that fat.  Before, if it fit AROUND me, I wore it. So that's the 10 month update - its amazing how fast time is flying by.

Thanks! If anyone wants to see pictures from Monday in Boston they are at www.flickr.com/dunnybocter - probably the first 70 or so pictures (through the butterflies) are from day 1 I haven't uploaded Tues or Wed yet.

Thank you Linda :)  I am trying to learn and have a wish list of equipment, but I definitely enjoy photography.  Its only been since November that I've had a good camera and started learning.

That's so cool about the bathtub.  I actually considered it the other day but decided to wait just a bit longer, as I didn't want to be disappointed. I just looked at your pictures.  You are quite the photographer.  What camera do you use? -Dawn

Thanks! I use a Canon Rebel xti right now.  Its really more in the lenses you choose though (but I want a nicer camera in a few years for sure)
