I know it;s normal to stall. But this last month I haven't lost a single pound. Granted my month ends on the 18 so I still have time. But my surgery was 12/18/07 . Is this normal? This is the first for me and makes me very scared that I "broke" my surgery!! I was 419 and now I am 291-297 depends on if i am taking my water pills or not !! Is it normal to stall for a whole month?  Very scared !!! ~Sarah

I've had basically 2 month long stalls in my journey so far.  I think its completely normal.  You may find yourself dropping a lot of inches instead.  Your weight loss is phenomenal, try not to worry too much.

In the months I didn't lose pounds I usually lost inches.  I call this shape shifting.  :)  It is very usual to stall.  You aren't done losing by a long shot.  Congrats are what you have achieved so far!  Loris

Dunny and Loris both brought up my suggestion already.  Take your measurements and see if you are still seeing results in inches, not pounds lost.  :) And don't forget how successsful you have been so far!!  128lbs!! You go girl!! For me, I have had week long stalls.  And at this point in my journey (also about 6 months out) I am just thrilled with my total loss that I don't get down about a stall.  Understandibly, a month long stall would worry me.  But hopefully that scale will move very soon! Oh, are you still journaling?  Maybe you can bring a few days of food journaling and have a sit down with your nutritionist to review.  I find when I look at my week long stalls that I have actually eaten LESS that week.  It's almost like my body protects itself by holding onto every bite.  I just make a quick adjustment and then see the results on the scale within a day or two. Good luck!

Said with a smile in my voice, now, now it has not been near a whole month.  Step away from the scale, friend.  It will work.  Hugs, Loris
