Gym is Open (Trotting Tuesday) 6/2
My fun activity for the day was doing yoga at lunch. It felt good after doing yard work the past two days, but now my quads are super, super sore. I'm going to skip cardio after work today to give my quads time to rest up and heal. Usually a day of rest really helps them feel better, so I've learned to just be patient and careful. Otherwise, I wind up tweaking something else because I'm trying to be careful of whatever part already hurts!!!

Not only does it sound like you have the tidiest yard in Cleveland, but you stretched everything out nicely and thus won't suffer too greatly from all the hard labor on the yard.
I mentioned that I did a lot of uphill walking in SD at Mt Moriah Cemetary. My right azz muscle has been sore ever since (not like sciatica sore, more of a muscle strain). How does one wrench an azz muscle? Oy!

I'm feeling better today (Wednesday), so seem to have fared pretty well with the yard work.
I've pulled my azz muscles too, when I changed up my strength training routine earlier this year. The first few times I did the new routine, my legs and azz hurt so bad I could hardly get up and down out of a chair, and let's not talk about how hard it was to get on and off the toilet!!!! Oy indeed!!!

Jennifer, how old is your son? Could he attend some sore of day program (day camp or summer enrichment or whatever they call it) where he could do something fun while you exercise? I used to spend my summers at day camp or summer enrichment programs which kept me happy and occupied and thus not available to drive my mother insane). I still remember those fondly, and wish they had things like this for adults. We should all get one day off each work week to just go to some sort of enrichment class and renew our vigor for living -- you could take any kind of class you wanted for eight weeks each summer. When I become the overlord of the free world, I'll implement this program right away!
I also wanted to compliment you on your nice photo!

My son is 4 and a half. He is just at that age where they do not have a lot of programming. They need to be five. Wait till he turns five. Anything I can afford he is being signed up for. I am going to go crazy this summer.....I love him dearly but Mommy I'm bored every five minutes is getting old.

The spirit was willing but the body was weak. I did 25 minutes of vigorous fat burning program on the treadmill and was totally whipped. No strength training today. Since I am obviously less fit than I thought I was, I'll have to regroup and plan on only 20-30 minutes of treadmill the next week and strengh training every other day. Once I'm back in the groove, I'll do two 20-30 minute cardio sessions.
