I don't burn a single calorie unless I engage in aerobic activity every day.  I could walk from here to China and if it wasn't brisk, aerobic walking, I would not burn a drop.

I'll bet if you get your exercise going again, your stall will shift.

Welcome home Kixie!  When I used to plan vacations I actualy looked forward to all the crap that would be waiting for me in various stops along the way.....I look forward to driving to NC because #1 you can get white castles in Jersey and #2 you can stop and get boiled peanuts at gas stations once you hit the carolinas lol ......I wish things like that were not first on my what to do on vacation list ....but If i'm going to be honest I have to say its kinda scary to even think about going because those same things still sound good......and I havent figured out how to deal with it yet....... I'm glad your home and glad you had a good time!!!!! When I moved to St. Louis years ago, everyone told me I had to eat at White Castle.  I remember thinking, "Wow, a burger for 25 cents!"  Ugh!  I think they make those things out of really old cows who led tragic lives and thus all their sadness eked out into the meat.

My advice regarding travel eating (and it's easier to preach it than practice it!) is to not eat when you aren't physically hungry.  There were a couple of times I had snacks (#&*$% pretzels) because they sounded good and not because I was hungry.  Also, be sure to keep up on your daily water allotment -- I didn't and I'm sure it made a difference.

Have a fun trip, and at least you didn't gain this week!

Have to start my saying YEA!!! for me.. .I have gone under the 300 mark finally... I never want to see 300+ on the scale again. surgery day wt: 344# last week 5/26:  304.4 today:  298.6# Hey Kix, I am planning a trip to South Dakota in August... did you go to the wild horse sanctuary by chance? Congrats on getting below 300!  I remember the day I fell below 300, it seemed unreal.

We did not go to the Wild Horse Sanctuary, mostly because the entry fee is $50 and we thought it was a bit steep.  Those park and attraction fees add up, I was really grateful to have gotten a disabled access pass for the national parks back when I was in a wheelchair, it saved us a $15 entry fee at Badlands.  I can't fault people for charging big sums of money, I'm pretty sure tourism is their primary source of income.

hi Kix, Sounds like you had a great vacation, isn't amazing being able to do all that walking? Did you notice I finally put my picture up....after all this time you can see me. It was pretty amazing, being able to walk as much as I did.  We had to walk uphill to see Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane's graves and I was able to do so without even breaking a sweat (however, my azz muscles were sore for two days, it really was quite a hike!).

How does it feel now that you are no longer a woman of mystery?  Great picture!

Welcome back from your SD adventure!   You know if we all (including non WLS people) followed your rule of not eating when we are not hungry, then America would, no doubt, not have an alarming rate of obesity that is suffers from.  I was slipping into that habit and quickly broke it.  Now I know I have to eat Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, but I was snacking for the sake of snacking.  No, no, no Here's my tally for the week Surgery weight 371 Last week 281.5 This week 278.5 3 pounds!
