I am having leftover lasagna. And salad. Our (so-called) friends blew us off last night last minute, so I had an entire pan of lasagna and an entire loaf of french bread for one and a half tummies - and the half tummy doesn't eat pasta or bread generally. I gave half to the neighbors since we are leaving town and it will just go bad, but that means we still have half a pan of lasagna, give or take, to eat. And a cantaloupe. And stuff for salad. Argh.
The girl is coming over today to get my key and instructions for the cats. I'd give her some of the food, but I'm kind of irritated at her now. We bought a 12 pack of beer and a bottle of wine for them also - so now I guess Ryan will have plenty of booze for a while. We did open the wine last night, I had a glass over about an hour, and it was an excellent yummy bottle that made me miss red wine (we used to share a bottle once a week or so).
So anyway, this is my last calorie countdown post until next weekend. If someone wants to take over that's cool, or we'll just skip a week. I hope everyone has a great weekend and coming week!
Jenn

I'll be 10 months out next week and bread doesn't sit well or interest me most of the time. Pasta is very tempting and sits fine, so I don't buy it, or if I do its whole grain and I eat a very small amount. I didn't make the lasagna whole grain because I didn't know if our guests would like that. If I had known it would be just for us I would have added spinach, onion, shredded zucchini and shredded carrot, and used whole grain. And it would have been half the size and still fed us for probably 3 meals. Last night I just ate the cheese and meat filling, today I did have a few bites of noodle and it was quite good. I decided to send the rest with her afterall, because there is no way we can eat it.
If you want a mock lasagna for something different, melt some ricotta, mozzarella, and sauce in the microwave. Your family could have it mixed with pasta and baked.
Well atleast you didn't try to kill your 10 year old ....:( man I gotta tell ya......I took Jake to the go-cart place last night and let him ride his own go-cart for the first time......Big mistake......we ended up at the emergency room.....He is ok! he got a really bad seat belt burn and a bruise that goes from the back of his right side neck to his left breast.... OMG it looks really ugly but I guess its not as bad as it looks .....He drove full speed head-on into the only part of the track that has no tires to bounce back from.....he hit the gas instead of the break. :( he really is ok it was just very scary and they did ex-rays and nothing but surfice was hurt....the Dr. said he had never seen a seat belt contusion like that from a go-cart......he said it looked more like a car accident.....anyway that why I didn't post yesterday......today so far I had
Coffee w' skim milk
Wendy's chili.....
We are going to the drive in tonight because we have had it planned for 2 weeks and Jake wants to go ...thats what he was most worried about yesterday (if he would feel ok to go today lol) so we are all going he has friends coming and we will picnic there before the movie...so I am thinking rotisserie chicken and some form of veggie from the grocery store deli

talk about incondiserate! With food prices the way they are and lasagna is not cheap to make. You are such a sweetie to do that. Karma, what goes around comes around. Have a great trip and I hope you can eat well while you are gone.
Estelle, boys will be boys. It amazes me the trouble they can get in to.
Today was left over fish from Friday night (didn't eat breakfast...just didn't feel like it)
Dinner - ribeye steak and salad
Protein shake for sure since I missed breakfast
Tomorrow I'm going to a water park. I can't wait.
Oh, and yesterday I went sailing for the first time in my life. I got to drive too and have a cool picture on my cell phone if I can just figure how to get it off of here. It's a really pretty pic!
