Hi ladies (and gentlemen?)
I am so so so so so sleepy. I'm yawning over and over and my eyes are watering. What's up with that? I got 9 whole hours, but it was still a struggle to get up and go to work. I am leaving at noon to go home and finish a few cleaning tasks like mopping and more laundry, plus make dinner for our kitty babysitters. I am excited about our trip, hoping my face heals up, and dreading the long flight. Ryan works until midnight Sat night, and then our plane leaves at 5:40 Sun morning, so I think unless he can leave early, we won't even go to sleep. That'll make things interesting. Get to the hotel in the afternoon and pass out.
We are staying at a very fancy hotel, which I am excited about. Its the little things that get me excited. I think this is the fanciest place I've ever stayed, and I am so glad I am not paying for it. Even with the discounted rate for the ASM conference, its almost 300 per night (as opposed to 450). The have complementary beer and wine at night, not that I'll be indulging, and its right next to the river in the middle of down town. Fun!! Walking distance from MIT, and a longer walking distance from Harvard and the Boston Common. I plan to visit all of them, so lots of walking in my future. Here is my food plan for the day -
B - 16oz mootopia, 1 packet nsa carnation
S - 16oz soy milk
L - rotisserie chicken thigh - I've nearly dismantled the chicken now, string cheese
S - fiber one yogurt, fiber one bar
D - I am making lasagna, salad, and garlic bread for our guests. I will probably have a small amount of bread, the insides of the lasagna, and a good amount of salad, plus a glass of red wine
Hope you guys have a great trip Jenn!
Pre B - SF NF Brown Cinnamon Sugar Latte
B - ham, cheese, 3 RF triscuits
S - handful of crunchy peanuts, RB Float (my homemade NF SF version)
L - chili and salad, probably a few chips with salsa
S - turkey jerky, banana
D - Turkey Taco salad (great minds think alike Kathy!)
S - mango slices
Have a fantastic trip, Jen! I look forward to hearing about your adventure when you return. I'm still trying to get back in the groove after being out for a week - ugh.
