THROWING IT OUT!

After another poster's 'true confession', I'm inspired to stop myself in my own tracks...RIGHT NOW! I made my all-time favorite pasta salad last night - fairly WLS friendly when using the low(er) carb pasta, light mayo, light sour cream, etc.  It even has tuna for a good protein punch to it.  (It is much like Skroodle Salad at Souper Salad) I was sure my daughter would like it (dh doesn't really care for it) and I wouldn't be eating it all by myself...but alas, little squirt doesn't really like it! I CANNOT (or will not) STAY AWAY FROM THIS STUFF!! I swear it is like crack to me.  Had it for dinner - made my tummy hurt and gave myself a light case of foamies.  What did I do this morning - had some more, then some more, then even some more!!!! Obviously this stuff is too much for me.  One bite is too many and 1,000 isn't enough.  I'm at risk of stretching my pouch over this, making myself sick, and just plain being a loose cannon.  Me thinks this is the definition of a slippery slope! So...when I get home, it's going in the trash!  It will break my heart...but hey, isn't that the way it goes? Remember breaking up with that bad boyfriend that you thought you loved so much?  It's gone, baby, gone! Thanks for listening! Jana

Good plan Jana!  I too have done the very same thing, made something I onced loved, but no one else really cared for, I'd take a bite here and a bite there, get a little sick and then realize I was the only one eating it anyway so ... in the tra**** went.  I now only keep things in the house that are good for any of us to eat. The rule is, if I shouldn't be eating it you shouldn't be either, so buy it when I'm not around if you have to eat it. It's helping everyone to be healthier! I'm proud of you!

You go Jana.... You identified the problem and resolved the conflict.. I can't bring snack items into my house (espicially salty or dill pickle pringles... LOVE THEM)... otherwise I'd have them gone in 1 sitting not matter how sick to my stomach I got. My thought .. leave'em for the next victim..
