Anyone tried Powdered Peanut Butter?

I just saw this online and thought I would order it.  I listened to a radio interview and they couldn't tell it from the regular store brand peanut butter and they did a blind test between publix brand, smart balance peanut butter and PB2 powdered peanut butter.  It was enough to sell me on the idea.  I ordered 4 jars of it.   They make the peanut butter like normal and then squeeze the oil out of it and it becomes powdered.  It's got 75% less fat calories, etc in it.  I am a peanut butter freak so I ordered it without tasting.   http://www.bellplantation.com Here's the scoop:

Hey Kathy -  I got my order of PB2 a couple weeks ago. Right away I mix some up and decided to eat it with some raisins mixed in ... I was at work and didn't have any celery! I thought it was good, maybe a bit salty for my taste, and usually I like salty stuff. I gave a jar to my Mom and to my Mother-in-law, she makes a lot of Indonesian food with peanut butter sauce, so I thought she could try it. Haven't heard from either of them if they liked it.   I'm thinking I might have to try to dip some SF chocolate in it  ... hahaha!

I love peanut butter but can't justify eating it because of the high calorie and fat content.  I ordered some SF peanut butter syrup the other day and my hubby said there was something that said glass fragile on the doorstep when he got home.  Gonna make me some pnut butter pudding tonight.  I just don't like the extra calories from adding real peanut butter.

For my first year post-op I wasn't allowed to eat peanut butter or nuts (unless I was craving them) because of the high fat content. At my one year check-up I'd lost 175 pounds and my surgeon said OK, now you can add a little peanut butter back into your diet.  I was a PB freak before, now it's an occasional treat.

Yep I have a jar - melting mama from OH sent it to me.  I like it, although it is a touch salty, it tastes like what it is, powdered peanuts.  It also has a little sugar in it.  I put it in my vanilla carnation  twice and it tasted like candy.  I haven't done anything else with it yet, but plan on trying it in pudding or slicing up a banana and coating it in the powder.  The only thing I don't like is that you have to order multiple jars at one time.

There's one store that's about 40 miles from here that carries it.  YOu may want to check it out on the website to see if you can find it locally.  I'm so excited!

Kathy, At both my WLS support group and my WW meeting I have been dubbed the PB2 Pimp!  I am addicted and order so much I always seem to be selling it or giving it away out of my trunk (hence the nickname)!  I too was a PB addict and still cannot allow it in my house (a jar will not last a day). I tried every substitute and yuk!  Then someone told me about PB2 and I said i would NEVER eat powdered PB. Well never say never, right? I love it. I put it in everything (great recipes on the site also).   And just that extra step of having to mix it keeps me from eating it by the spoonful. I hope you enjoy it!
