Hey BAF Fam!

I'm mainly a lurker because of my work schedule but I just had an epiphany this morning that I'd like to share!  I was talking to my sister who is planning her wedding in the Dominican Republic in 2 months.  We were talking about what clothes we were bringing and our plans while we're there and (without even a hesitation) I said to her, "Oh!! And I need another bathing suit because the ones I bought last year are too big now."  She made a comment about me spending a lot of time on the beach last year when we went to the Bahamas (blah, blah, blah)...

and while she was talking IT HIT ME....  WOW!!! I'M REALLY DIFFERENT NOW!

The OLD me would have never been caught DEAD in a swimsuit, much less a 2-piece!

The OLD me would have spent most of the time indoors or at least covered up from head to toe sitting in the hot sun watching everybody else have fun.

The OLD me would have been too self-conscious to even wear shorts.

The OLD me wore long sleeves in the summer-time because of all the fat on my arms.

The OLD me might have looked for an excuse not to go because of the seat on the plane being too tight and uncomfortable.

BUT NOW...

I'm just thankful that none of those things even occur to me now.  And I even posted pics of my latest trip to the beach (last weekend) on my profile!

Check out ya' girl living life like it's GOLDEN!! (Just thought I'd share!)

Golden indeed. I am preparing for a cruise. Everything that I have purchased has been either a halter, off the shoulders, or strapless. 5 years ago I would have been the equivalent of Madea. But it's a new story now sister. From wide width naturalizers to Jessica Simpson & Carlos Santana as well!

Life is not about making it through the storm....but learning how to dance in the rain.

I totally understand.  People tell me that at parties now , I stand out in the crowd and mingle; before wls, they would find me in a room by myself.

Lose some weight, gain a lot of confidence.
