Can your job flip the insurance plan on you mid year???
That would be fine if I hadn't planned my surgery around the figures based on the $1,200 cap. They haven't processed that claim so I could be out of another $1,200 - but they quoted my pre-cert coverage to the surgeon based on the old way.......

Your coverage changes the minute the company's contract changes, even if those *******s don't tell you squat. They don't have to wait for the plan year to end or for open enrollment to make a contract change. Damn, these insurance *******s are just evil.

yes, they can change mid year! Mine just changed effective yesterday. My company did let us know about it about 30 days in advance so we would be prepared. Trust me, I had my whole family running to the dentist, eye doctor, physicals, etc before the old insurance expired on June 30th. Our new insurance is with a different carrier with a slightly higher co-pay.
