OT :Mac users (makeup not the computer)

Love the pressed powder. 

I'm prone to breakouts and discolorations, so I scrape some off and mix it with acne control moituriser.  Then using a brush I dab it on pimples and discolored areas.  Once dry I apply pressed powder all over.  For really bad skin days the concealer is fantastic.  Just enough to cover and look natural. 

I do want to try the primer and I love the intense pigment of the eye shadows.  True to color even on us dark skinned girls. 

I get scarring from my lupus so I think I will try a little of the concealer thank you MSW

I am SUCH a MAC ADDICT!!  I have just about everything!!  Been collecting for 5 or more years

I currently love the lip color and gloss that stays on forever- the long wearing color.  Yes you have to buy the eye and lip remover to get it off but it lasts ALL DAY!! 

Gotta have chestnut and current lip liners - and lip glass and slimshine lipsticks in Most Wanted

I just bought the Naked Honey Bodey Lotion and cologne - smells like Honey Suckle and is oh so soft and smooth.  fresh summer smell - always sniffing myself

Can't live without the prep system - concealer, lip prep, mascara prep, and paint pot for eye shadow.

My brows are done with the spiked brow pencil and brow shader kit.

Can't live without my pro long lash and splash proof lash mascara.

I have something from EVERY color collection in the past 5 years.  I collect eye shadow colors I have at least 60 shades.

The studio fix mosturizer is the bomb.  Don't really use foundation but the mineral  collection it excellent.  Love the mineralized blush combos are fantastic - rockin earth to earth now.  Also the Mineralized eye shadow pots -Inter-view, Illusionary, Hot contrast and Earthly Riches.

Can't quote prices - when I go to the MAC counter I know i will drop $100.  I always get my girl Janese to "beat my face" - will not buy from anyone else.  she saves new colors for me and hooks me up.   I have a HUGE makeup case - totally organized and maintained. It's costly but oh so good for me!!! It's my one personal endulgance.

Go to a MAC store and have someone do your face and give you tips.  Start with the basics and ask her HOW to do it.  They will teach you.  Find someone you like and keep going back.  They will help you update your look and add to your collection.  I got hooked the first time I walked in and they MADE ME OVER.

I didnt  know that they had a mineral line.   Is the lip color a lip stain or just long wear lipstick ?

Yes there is an entire mineral line of foundations, shadows and blushes - they are Fabulous!!

It's a stain.  I mean I can do my lips in the morning and maybe refresh the gloss during the day and get in bed with my honey with lips still done - wake up in the morning with color still on.  I had to buy the remover so I could stop sleeping in it!!

the color of my brow pencil is Spiked - but the brow pot is mocha and a highlighter.  I use the angular brush to apply and blend.

Brushes are SO important.  blending is so important.  your face is a canvass but it need not look like abstract art.  it should be natural, blended and complimentary.

the stain sound like something I'd like to try.......my lips are dark so its hard to find something that compliments me.........I like neutrals for daytime wear......I am game for almost any color for evenings out.

Dose Mac have a line of make-up boxes or did you just buy a general purpose make-up box ?

I purchased a daily carry case from them for 35  but my Black box - the big one with the drawers and accordian shelves came from target or walmart.  Actually check out MAC online and the discount makeup shops in huge malls.  They have last seasons colors at a lower price.
I bought a bunch of pigments off ebay.
But mostly i go into the mac store or counter and have someone do my face telling them the colors I already have and getting them to find complimentary colors to add to the collection.

If you every get to DC I will take you on a MAC Mission and get my gilr to hook you up.  I could have her come in and do a makeup party for several of us.  She's bugging me to do a toy party for her and is willing to do a Makeup party for me.

OOH!!!  MAC is one of 2 products that I am brand loyal with.  I do not use lipsticks anymore, as I discovered I get longer lasting color by using the lipliners along with their lip glosses.  The lipliners last forever (approx a year).

Oh btw, did ya'll know they will give you a free lipstick if you turn in 5 used lipstick or lipgloss containers?

Yes all over the free lipstick lol.  I have only been using the foundation and blot powder and their lipsticks I love the products that I have used so far and I wanna try some of their other stuff.  I wanna get a nice make-up box together of their stuff.......looking for good daytime lip color/gloss
