Where my DC folks at???

Im planning a trip to DC in August. Planning on doing the tourist thing, see all the sites and what not. Can some suggest a hotel that's not too far away from everything that DOESNT cost a arm and a leg. I am a sista on a $2.00 budget but like to vacation like a millionaire....

I have no idea what the hotels go for lol. The one time I stayed in a hotel here it was for a treat, so not budget friendly. I do a lot of Pricelining when I look for a hotel outside of DC. But for real as long as you can either walk or they have a shuttle to the Metro you can get anywhere!  DC is not a large city.
