Hello my BAF family. Hope all  is well. I have a question. I have uped my exercise & i really do sweat alot in my hair. I now wear half wigs, (got a closet full of them, if you need the hook-up, let me know) But i was wondering about the lace-front wigs. Do anybody wears them and wear them to work-out in?? I have been looking at them on line & see that they are very pretty & conveient but i was a little worried about how the way i sweat. You can either use some kind of 2 sided tape or you can use the adhesive glue. Then some of them say no glue or tape needed. I think that the one i would like better cause i dont want nothing taking my hair out Well to those that have wore them, give me your input before i pay all this money on one cause they are pretty pricey. Thanks

Howdy,
I believe that a Baf member (sweet peachy princess) is a lace front wig provider.

I live in Michigan and some of our wigshops now sell synthetic lace fronts that are wayyyy cheaper than the traditional ones. They are nice and will hold up much longer than just a plain synthetic wig. I will be going on tomorrow to purchase a lacefront handtied combination wig since the weather is very hot now.

The synthetic lace fronts have the front mesh to allow you to either sweep or comb back, the mesh can either be glued or you can use the tape that comes with the wig. I have found that I can wear mine without either because the mesh blends in with my complexion.

Good luck.

Oh okay. I think thats the one i will be getting, the synthetic cause with the human hair, you have to tend to much to it like its your own hair. And the purpose is.. not wanting to fool with your hair... PERIOD! So do you work-out in yours?? If so, how do it do?? It want slide off will it??  Thanks for your reply.

I know this is not an answer to your questions, but I have always wondered...are those things hot?  Here in Houston, I see people with them and it's about 100 degrees now and I just wonder if they aren't hot or at risk of coming unglued (are they glued??) or whatever due to sweat.

I think it's kind of novel to wear one, but the hotness issue always made me question.

Anybody who wears one care to chime in?

Hey thurr,
in my case they are not hot. Although there are wigs out there that are, I always choose wigs that are able to get constant airflow. It would also depend on the thickness of ones natural hair underneath. The wigs of today are really light and more natural. The mesh of the wig and wig caps have air holes, so to me wearing a wig is very comfortable.

Well to me, my half wigs are not hot. Its like it have a net to the wig so your hair can BREATH. So what i usually do is either cornrow all of my hair going back or just put my hair in one big braid in the back & slap that sucker on! I do leave a little piece of my hair out in the front so it will blend in with the wig or sometime i may put a band around the front. I am so hooked on the half-wigs & i get so many compliments! But i just want to try the lace front & see if i will get hooked on them.
