BAF... I'm home & on the losing bench...
My surgery was Monday May 4th, 2009 @ 7:30 am and it went very well it was so uneventful that there is no need to bore you with details. I came home on Tuesday May 5th and I have been staying with my grandparents, mom and lil sister and they have all been a piece of wonderful work. They have been keeping me on point but driving me a tad bit bonkers in the process LOL Nothing like family right?
I haven't been getting on all my fluids (protein, water, etc. ) but everyday I get more and more in. Been doing a lot of walking to get rid of this horrible trapped gas.
Other than that I'm doing well. My only wish right now is for this darn drain (which I so so kindly named Urkel) to come out. It is getting on my last nerve.
BAF thanks so much for the prayers and thoughts. they were and are much appreciated. I can't wait to really embark on this new and adventurous journey,

Glad to hear you had an uneventful surgery. I know you may feel good, but please try and get some rest. WLS is still considered major surgery. Follow your doctors orders
Wlecome to the losers bench. BTW my birthday is May 4th.
Keep taking those picture. Somedays in the future you may need to remind yourself of where you came from or how far you have come.
Good luck on this journey.

Congratulations on your WLS. I had mine done on Tuesday, and I have to say, I am no where near as upbeat as you. I feel better today than I did yesterday, but this ISH is not for the faint at heart. Anyone that thinks this is the easy way out can kiss my @$$, and I dare them to come try their hand at this surgery since it is so easy.
May your WL journey bring you much joy and success.
