Any AAs in SC?
Newbie here...I am curious to know if there are any African American people in South Carolina who has done or are attempting to have WLS. I need someone to ask a bevy of questions. If you are in the Columbia area that would be the bestest! I need to find a PCP that can refer me to a surgeon. My current PCP is really working my nerves. Her staff calls me and cancels my appointments (three times). Then when I call them to get a new appointment they have an attitude and always ask "Why did you cancel THREE appointments". I am like dude you called ME and canceled! I feel like I am spinning my wheels. I need a chart or a guideline to follow so I know all the proper steps I need to follow. HELP!!!

You guys are all so cool! One, all though the ball has not started bouncing yet (PCP referral and all that jazz) I want to start writing my first letter. I love to write and I am trying to ATTEMPT not to make it sooo dramatic. Don't want them making a "Hundred Pound" movie about me. Although I would love for JHud to play me :D. I digress, what should I include in the appeal letter? What do they ask for? I don't even know where to start!
I have many years of medical weight loss attempts. The most recent guy I had been going to since 2006 (Dr. Cheng of Drs Weight Loss Clinic) refuses to give me my medical records. That is illegal right? He sent me an email saying that weight loss surgery is not the option and I should just stick to the diet. Okay, I do for one! Lost 80lbs once. 60lbs another and so forth. BUT I cannot afford to shell out $350+ to him on a monthly basis for his phenpro concoction!! HOW THE EFF after all those mickey frickey visits to him and all those muh friggin referrals I have made to you, you are going to deny me my info to do what the frick I wanna do? I think he is just going to miss feeling on my boobies since he ALWAYS wants to check my heart (LMAO). I am like seriously?
