Sodium

Does anyone track the amount of sodium you are taking in daily? I seem to take in quite a bit of sodium which ofcourse makes the scale go up and down a few pounds all the time.

Anyone have suggestions on low sodium, dense proteins? I have moved away from the protein shakes and such and really trying to find a good balance.

Thanks BAF

Hi Chagrin,
I do track my sodium but find that it is very difficult to balance the eating in regards to low carb, sodium, calories, etc. Usually giving up one thing means increasing the other so I try to not go over a certain amount and not shake salt.

Hope this helps.

Hey there.

I don't track my sodium intake, but I am conscious of it.  I think the best way to reduce water retention is to increase your fluid intake  Specifically, drink more water.

Read the food labels for everything.  With the exception of ham, bacon, sausage, etc.,and processed meats; most fresh meat/protein should fit into the recommended daily allowance.  What's going to get you, is all the stuff we put on it to make it taste good.

Continued success to you.

Thanks for your response. I had to jump off here and get some work done yesterday. So I hear you in adding even more water. Interestingly enough, a lot of all natural organic foods have high sodium too...Oh well. Still working out.

Much Appreciated!
