Well if your heading that direction for something else it is worth the visit. I have gone several times and found it very helpful. If you go on my OH blog you can read about it.

You've done a great job! And I think most of us look in the mirror and pick apart the pieces and criticize ourselves to death over that 'final' number...

I did put a goal weight down, simply because I'm goal oriented... but I long ago decided to just keep on doing me, and I'll just see where that lands me... of course, I'm always convinced 'this is it', 'I won't lose more'... I'll never get there... ugh. I try to be as positive as I can though, because I know I'm doing a pretty good job with my diet, and I intend on never changing that, so that means I should find a good place where my body is happy, right? Problem is getting the brain happy too!

Hi Chris,

You have done such a great job!  I love the last photo where you have  your shadow of the larger you.  If you are not doing so I would hit the gym with putting on muscle mass.  The more muscle mass you put on the more you burn. No, not suggesting you become a body builder but you want to concentrate on the muscle mass and loose skin more at this point instead of a number on the scale.

I worked out like a body builder for a year and then had PS.  They removed almost 30 pounds of skin....

Many of us regain about 20% of our lost weight by the end of year three.  So figure what weight you want to maintain for life, subtract 20% from that and that is where you can comfortably stop losing weight.

If you stop at 200, you will have lost 149 pounds.  Expect to regain 30 pounds to level out at 230.

Losing to 180 will put your rebound at 213.

So I asked this question too when I hit what I felt was my goal weight and got some of the same responses about waiting until your weight loss stops on its own.  I kind of get that now, but didn't at the time.  I started raising my calories from a target of 800 a day once I hit 125 pounds - not all at once but over a gradual period.  It took a couple of months to get to the point where I stopped losing and I ended up lower than I expected. I have hung here for a few weeks now at about 116.5-117 with calories around 1200.  So for now that's where I'm staying as 1200 calories is very manageable.  I asked the surgeon if I should try to go up a bit and he said to stay where I am with calories as I at a normal BMI now (even though I'm much lower than I expected to end up).

I agree with everyone else...you should go until your body won't let you go lower naturally. I stopped my weight loss at 190.....I lost 300 lbs and had a lot of excess skin. When i had plastics, my doctor said that she didn't remove any fat...it was almost all skin.

Be aware though....that very well meaning people will start to tell you that you are "too thin" or that "you should stop" or that "you've lost enough". It's none of their business, but when it comes to weight loss....people feel that they have the right to comment. Just ignore them.

another thing to think about is that you may need some plastics.....moobie removal is usually covered by insurance.

Not my moobies!

Yea, I dont sweat it when people say that. I attribute it to them seeing such a huge change from where I was to where I am now

I think I may have worded my post wrong based on responses. Was just curious how much more people think I look like I could lose, I'm not stopping for quite a way, and doesnt matter what the number on the scale is. My goal is to lose until I have a **** ton of excess skin on my stomach, arms etc. I want the fat gone.

Plastics are fine by me. Even if its not covered, I'll pay cash for them in a heart beat (well, plastic for plastic)!
