Can you describe the pain some more? When are you feeling the pain? Have you called your surgeon?

Its feel like a knot or a stomach ache deep inside. I've been testing my new stomach and I think I am not drinking or eating enough because now it is subsiding a bit. Have you felt that before? I'm just so scared to feel sick especially since I just left hospital today.

Your number one priority at this point is to stay hydrated, in my opinion.  Keep a sippy cup of water or Crystal Light or sf tea or something like that in your hand at all times, and take tiny sips, one after the other, constantly.  Broth is also good, as well as sf jello and popsicles.  And sips of your protein shakes, but teeny tiny sips.

Just remember that your poor little stomach has been sliced and diced, so some discomfort is not unusual, but as others have said, take your pain meds on schedule, as well as your acid reducer if you are on one.  If the pain seems out of proportion ... or perhaps even if it doesn't, call your surgeon.  That's what aftercare is for :-)

Take good care of yourself, foxey, and let us know how you are doing.

When I was about three days out I remember I kept drinking (was only on clear fluids) cuz I felt like I was having hunger pangs.. but it turned out to be pain, and it also hurt me for almost two weeks to just drink.. I think I was swollen a lot cuz ever sip was felt when it hit my tummy and it wasn't enjoyable.
You won't feel full until you are on something more solid. The first thing I felt full on was when in the middle of the day I had the ok to go to full fluids and I had just purchased some SF puddings so I tried one and was full before even finishing it. But when drink my liquids that just doesn't happen.

That helps I think I am in pain and I just think its hunger pains like you said. I can start liquid diet now so maybe I will try some cream of chicken soup or something instead of liquids. Thanks for the advice.

Would be in your best interest to talk to your surgeon....

Getting medical information about pain/discomfort on a public forum is usually not a good idea.

Not trying to dis you in any way....just want you to have proper evaluation/treatment....
