I am rocking it! getting creative and loving it!!!! Gotta give credit where credit goes and if I had not read this shared by this DS-er on this here link http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/amos/4459699/Protein-Cake-Shake-Recipe/ I would have not been getting creative enough to tweak it a bit and enjoy this AWESOME breakfast this morning .... 30g of Protein and 200 cals ... filling and DELICIOUS!!!! AND IMPOSSIBLE TO EAT ALL IN ONE SITTING ... HMMMMMMMMMM as I twiddle my toes and lick my fingers ... I tweaked the Cake-Shake by adding one small egg only and placing it in a plastic bowl and nuking it for 4 minutes .... then I turned it over on a cookie sheet and bought a few slices for Bfast at work on the run .... OMG it is finger licking good ... followed by my cup of Cafe Bustello 3/4 decaf 1/4 regular with one tablespoon of Leche Klim and sweetened with splenda I am in 7th heaven....
this is my spread at my desk ... HEY............ three pieces of my cake are missing WTF LOL its my co-workers ... the love love love my wares LOL and they are just regular peeps totally unaltered just like regular me rocking my RNY ... shoot ... I may not have a Rolls Royce but I am sure driving my Toyota ... may get there the day after or a day sooner but as long as I get there it is all good ... LOL ...
Thank you again Beemer... for sharing this... don't you know I never liked chocolate and I HATE drinking protein shakes but did it as a MUST especially in stressful conditions when appetite was lost to stress or in a rush when on the run and unable to eat ... but girllllllllllllllll ... THIS RECIPE ROCKS ... WHO NEEDS TO DRINK PROTEIN WHEN WE CAN MAKE A GOOD CHOCOLATE CAKE OR CAKE SHAKE OUT OF IT .... AND IT IS FINGER LICKING GOOD....

How I make it:
3-4 T splenda
1 T packed dark cocoa
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 T oil
water to make a thin non grainy batter
Mix WELL.
This is MY version of the RECIPE for the Chocolate Cake Shake above ... (altered for my personal choices as RNY)
How I make it:
3-4 T splenda
1 T packed dark cocoa
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1T Can't Believe Its not Butter
water to make a thin non grainy batter
Mix WELL.
Stick in the microwave and nuke....
For the Chocolate Cake I just shared...
SAME RECIPE AS ABOVE ...ADD ONE EGG .. BEAT/MIX WELL
This is me today ... the countdown is on for my thighplasty and knee lift... the extra skin packing my knees and gams about to be whacked off... I am still building up the nerves ...after the many swelling issues with my brachioplasty I am ****lessly scared... and undecided despite having a date ... YIKES...
HAVE A HAPPY ONE EVERYBODY ... DON'T WORRY ... BE HAPPY!!!... THE WALK AWAY FROM OBESITY AND ITS RELATED ILLNESSES IS A GOOD WALK.. FULL OF UPS AND DOWNS AND CHALLENGES ALONG THE WAY ... IT IS CERTAINLY NOT EASY ... IT IS AN EVERY DAY ONE DAY AT A TIME THING ...I LOVE COMING ON HERE AND READING AND LEARNING SO MUCH FROM SO MANY - I CAN SEPARATE THE MESSAGE FROM THE MESSENGER AND HAVE A TREASURE OF NEW THINGS LEARNED AND EXPERIENCES SHARED ... As long as I get there and keep the focus on my original goals or new goals established along the journey ... my goal was to be MOBILE ... and to be HEALTHY ... with a CHANGE OF HEART AND MINDSET to love the people (past hurt and resentments years back following a traumatic experience made this nearly impossible)... I made a faith-based plea for a new heart to love ALL the people (note: I did not say like LOL) ... and I am working towards those each and every day...
I may not get there driving a Rolls Royce ... but I am going to gas up and keep up the maintenance of my little Toyota to get there .... if my tiny Toyota breaks down and I am left with or find out that my Toyota was not all that and a bag of chips and I only had a bike to begin with or a scooter or a tricycle I am going to continue pedaling just as hard and as furiously as I can to get there and to stay there too ... if my bike breaks I am going to run ....and if my Achilles turns on me and my old knees give out on me I am going to walk ... if it gets too bad that I can't walk I will crawl and IF ALL ELSE FAILS I AM GOING TO LIE DOWN AND ROLL AND KEEP ON MOVING BUT I AM SO NOT GIVING UP! I will get there!!! and stay there!! I had been on the other side and those co-morbidities were no joke ... I am not going back ... I am using my past to keep me focused on my present...
I learn something new here on OH and in life in general each and every day ... right on here there are awesome lessons ... it is up to me to reap what benefits me....

Thanks Mini ... pushing 54 and being able to run and breathe easy makes my day ...My derriere and thunder legs will never render me slim even after plastics as they are according to my doc 'genetically placed' LOL but I am okay with it ... gimme a piece of fabric ,, a canvas.. some paint... a camera and a track, a pool or a field to run on and I am ohhhhhhhh sooooooooo happy LOL...

I think you already look fabuloso! I am so excited you are having the reconstructive surgery you so desire. We are our own worst critics. I have issues with my legs and arms. I do believe I look much like a melting candle. You , however, look fantastic. It will be hard to improve upon perfection.
I wish you a very speedy recovery and hope the time leading up passes quickly, too!

You get a A+ for presentation! I make them too, but leave them in a coffee mug, and they look nasty.
The only thing I do differently with them is to use coconut oil for the oil - it has some amazing health benefits, and is a healthy medium chain fatty acid. Oh yeah, sometimes I put sugar free chocolate syrup into the middle, and make it like molten cake, but it's good anyway.
