Updated: Share button addition
OH get your own site on FACEBOOK if you want to share your information with the world. I don't want to, and don't want others to have the option to click on a button and transport me to a different site.
People share deeply personal information here about MEDICAL issues!!!!!! I don't think OH should be in the business of putting it out there without permission from the individual in writing.
Will the sex board be up for grabs on facebook too?
On second thought, just get rid of it. IT SUCKS!!!

Just a guess, but I bet most of the members here do not want their posts so easily shared on Facebook or other sites. Why not just get rid of it totally.
Edit to add - How many advertisers would support this site if most of the members left because of this? Maybe we should organize a OH blackout period.

Some bored ass f*** (troll) can now sit on the couch and have a field day...tying your information to your employer's webpages, your child's daycare webpages etc.. etc... if you have shared enough about yourself. Cut or copying and pasting someones information is NOT the same as leading them back to the actual site with a trail of internet do do droppings.
All I am saying is that the folks that don't like it have a right to be upset about it. We weren't even given the courtesy of a notification. I know the site needs to generate revenues...Hell...I have been a sponsor of this very site myself in the past BUT I still think we at least deserved a little common courtesy. Hell everyone on here has helped generate revenues in one shape or another ..be it by buying goods from an advertiser or having one of the highlighted surgeons perform your procedures etc... etc... In other words, being here has not been at NO cost.
BUT it is thier site and they can do whatever the hell they feel like doing with it.

This FB page was created just to give you an idea of what the share button can do and how dangerous it is actually. I am just saying that any jokester can take the information and run amok with it.

It's sad that you are now having your OH members think about posting to this site! We all joined this site to get the help and support we needed during our WLS journey. Now that our posts can be compromised and published for all the world to see is making us think twice and a third time about posting ANYTHING. I only have one question is WHY are you doing this??? Are you getting a kickback for the "share" option??? Many of us came to this site because of the anonymity that we could have it's flown to hell in a hen *** share) basket now. I thought this site TOOK PRIDE in allowing its members to openly share their personal triumphs and tribulations here. Now I think I'll be looking elsewhere for my support because the "Trust Factor" of this site is NIL, NADA and KAPUT!!! This was a very popular site with the pre and post surgical weight loss community and I can see it dying like a ghost town if you insist on keeping your "share" button!
OH WOULD YOU WANT YOUR HEALTH ISSUES , WEIGHT AND SUCH PUBLISHED FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE???? BETTER YET HOW ABOUT OH'S FINANCIAL DATA "SHARED" THAT IS WHAT YOU'RE DOING TO US AS OH MEMBERS WITH YOUR NASTY "SHARE BUTTON!!!
