Friday the 13th was a LUCKY day!!!
As some of you guys know, I have been looking for a poodle to adopt for my daughter who has allergies and this is a breed of dog that doesn't bother her allergies. I know this because my brother has a poodle and she was around him at Christmas and it didn't bother her. I decided to stick to this breed even though everyone said this or that breed would be ok because I didn't think it fair to get a dog and then have to give it back because it didn't work.
So on Wednesday I learned of a 2 year old male housebroken poodle who was being neutered the next day was up for adoption from a rescue house. She had had him 3 weeks. His prior owner was a college student and just didn't have time to spend with him and he'd had him since he was a puppy.
The rescue mom was so great!!!! She gave us his crate, bowls, food, treats, toys and clothes!!! All I paid for was his neutering.
This dog is so great!!! He totally fits our life...he just chills out on the couch! I'm teaching my daughter to walk him, feed him and clean up after him.
I know this is long....but we've searched a long time for a member of our family...I thought it would never be possible because of my daughter's allergies....I'm so glad I can watch her "have her own doggie!!!"
