Valentine's Day Plans?

Most of our plans for Saturday are more for the kids than us. A few times a year we go to Krispy Kreme where the kids get to pick out a donut and a drink and watch the donuts being made. So we're going this Saturday so they can get a heart shaped donut. Then down the street to the farmer's market (the kids love going there!). Depending on what time we get done we'll either go to Sam's and then to a local hot dog stand that for lunch. My kids also like going to thrift stores so we'll most likely visit one or two. Not very romantic huh? We have a church Valentine's Banquet that evening so we'll head back home and get ready.

I know the kids have been talking to DH about getting me something but who knows what. My sons know the power of giving flowers and stuffed animals to a woman. My daughter just loves giving us things.

What are your plans?

I have to work Saturday morning. That night though, I plan on taking the huvs out. I already gave him his gift..a new wedding band. He lost his in the summer.
I do have a date on Sunday with my sons to go see Friday the 13th. I loved that movie when I was 16.
For me..hubby has gotten us tickets to go see Spamalot. We are big Monty Python fans.

A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything.

My hubby & I are going down to Gulfport, MS, for the weekend.  He has friends there, so we'll visit and catch some beads!!!  I'm just looking forward to a weekend away!!!

My DH & I were just talking last night about what maybe we would like to do Saturday (Valentine's Day).  We thought of maybe going to Nashville to the Grand Ole Opry.. BUt I really don't think anyone that interesting is going to be up there to sing that we haven't seen before. >> So at this point.. we may just go out for a nice dinner and catch a movie.... (Without the kiddos).. It will be 18 years ago on Saturday that were got engaged.

Lisa,
I hope you and your hubby have a great trip down to Gulfport. There are several parades around town this weekend. The first year I lived here on the coast I checked out the parades, but NOW...OMGoodness I avoid all activites.  Well, Saturday, February 14, is my BIRTHDAY! I just want to REST and vowed NO HOMEWORK that day.  Anyway, have a safe trip down and have fun catching beads.

My hubby lived down there for 2yrs before we married, and he says the crowds are pretty big...but it's only for a few days, so we'll just get out there & get with it!

I'm taking my girls to a "Fancy Nancy" Valentine's tea. They will dress in their finest boas, hats, and sequined dress up clothes.

Afterwards, we are delivering Valentine's cards to the nursing homes in the area and the one my grandmother is living in. My GS troop made them last night and they are so cute.

Then Sat. night, I have a hot date with my man!
