Moving to Huntsville

WELCOME TO HUNTSVILLE. I hope that you quickly grown to love the area. I am Carolyn~ I have been on the OH BAMA board for a number of years, although I have not had WLS. But you never know if or when I could decide to do so!
I happen to have been in Huntsville for the past 50, yes, FIFTY years. I was born and raised here.

So--if you have any questions about the area or if I can do anything to make your move here a bit easier, I would be more than happy to help you out!

Hold my hand or head while I shake in fear and apprehension???  If I thought RNY was scary, I think that this is passing it up quickly!!!  It really hasn't even sunk in yet, I just received the offer letter this afternoon, but I am very excited at the prospect of the new job, but terrified of being all alone in a new town, state, part of the country.

Hi, Mari! Welcome to Alabama. I'm Rosie and I live a little more than an hour south of Huntsville. We moved here two and a half years ago a didn't know a soul, either. I have to say though, the people here are nice and we've enjoyed it. The support here on the board is great too. :)nd

I am Debbie and I am from Chatom Alabama.  I am almost at the bottom or the state so I can't help you with the Huntsville info.  I just wanted to welcome you to the best "support group" in the world.  There are lots of people on this board from that area and I know they will help you.

 Hi Mari.....Welcome to ALABAMA!!! I love San Marcos....not a lot of TX that I can say that about... If you will PM me, I can give you my landlord's name. He has a lot of property in the Huntsville area and is a great guy. I will also give you my numbers, etc. I would like to meet you!

Hi Mari.. Welcome to Alabama and the AL Board.  I really don't have any input on support groups in the Huntsville area, but I do work about 20 minutes from Huntsville which is in Decatur.  Actually rite across the river...

I'm sure you'll find plenty of supporters on this board and groups in Huntsville.

Hi Mari, I live just outside of Huntsville.  If you need a surgeon for aftercare, I know Dr. Mailapur has accepted other surgeon's patients.  He's very good and does not mess around if you have any problems.
