Whatcha Doin'...

Today???

What do you have going on for today?  What do you have planned for your Saturday?  Are you shopping?  Working?  Cleaning house?  Laundry?  Relaxing and watching a movie or t.v.?  Maybe doing your taxes?  Cleaning out your car?  Exercising?  Cooking something special for your friends/family?  Maybe you are visiting with loved ones you haven't seen in awhile? 

Come on and share with us what you are doing!
Tim is working a 1/2 day...and I am doing housework, laundry and packing.  I finished up our taxes last night, so ALL is done and I feel good about that!   

We are going to either stay in the remainder of the day and continue to clean and pack OR we will stop and go see the Grandbaby and my FIL who is in his last days.  Just a few days ago, the M.D. said he has just a few weeks to live for he is going downhill quickly (he has Parkinsons Dementia).  We know we will see the Grandbaby and my FIL, we just don't know if it will be today or tomorrow...we haven't made up our minds yet as to which day it will be??

If you have a prayer to spare, please say one for Howard my FIL and for our family.  I know it will be tough on my MIL when he passes...although she's been "told" of his condition for awhile, she has been living in denial that he is as sick as he really is.

(So sorry for I didn't mean to type a book.)

Soooo, what are you going to do today???? 

Well, Jackie, first let me say all of you are in my prayers. I'm so sorry your family is going through this. I just got off from work, so as soon as I wind down, it's bed-time for me! The bed sure does look inviting and as tired as I am, I'm just not sleepy, yet. Give me another 1/2 hour or so and I'm sure I'll be more than ready. Sooooo most of my day will involve sleeping. Then it's up and at 'em getting ready for work and another 12-13 hours at the grindstone. Well, it's not hard work, just not mentally challenging. But I guess somebody has to be there and I'm so thankful that I have a job and don't have to worry about a lay-off. As long as my nose stays clean I have a job unfortunately thanks to 9-11. Just wanted to say hi, and certainly didn't mean to write a book either, LOL.
I hope you and Tim and the rest of the family have a blessed weekend. I'll be thinking of you.

 Morning, my sweet happy friend!
I have a sick doggy so I am going to the Vet this morning.  This has been going on for a while, and no results from my previous employer so I am going elsewhere. Did most of my house work last night...just need to spiff things up a bit later this afternoon. Having an old friend here for the weekend......looking forward to that!!

Morning. I've got about an hour of volunteer work this morning then going to Oneonta to spend a few hours with my sister. She's not doing to good lately so I want to spend a little extra time with her. After that it's back home and housework. It's a beautiful day and I'm just going to enjoy every minute of it.

I am spending the morning with my granddaughter while my husband is golfing.  He'll be home around noon to take over while me and my MIL go to our hair appointment.  He will probably take her to the local toddlers park for a couple of hours.

After that, I don't have much planned.  Maybe get the grocery shopping out of the way or get in a little bit of studying or work on packing for my cruise (which is next weekend...yay). 

We're grilling steaks tonight, which is my favorite food.  I don't seem to enjoy baked potatoes near as much as I used to.  Maybe I now know I don't need the carbs.  I fill up on steak and brocolli first...lol.

That pretty much sums up my day.  A nice relaxing day with AnnaBelle.

Wow...it is a beautiful Saturday morning here in North Alabama!

I have been up a bit and am getting ready to head in and work most of the day. Again, while it is a beautiful day that I would love to spend having fun--I am very thankful for the fact that I do have steady employment and am even able to pick up some overtime.

Tomorrow--I will take the day off!

I'm doing massive amounts of laundry!! 

Hubby and #3 daughter are going to the club to help set it up for tonight JROTC Ball.  Then he and I will be chaperoning it tonight.  Do you know how hard it is to find something at my size???  Yep you all do.  Since surgery is in my near horizon I refuse to buy anything at this point. So I dug deep into my closet and found a pair of velvet pants and a silk shirt that will do.  There MIGHT be pics....LOL

Today I am helping Sarah clean her room!!!  BIG task!  She has ALREADY outgrown ALL the clothes she got for Christmas, so we are cleaning out and making room for more.  She had to go to the doctors Thursday and was rejoicing because she weighed 64 lbs. (she probable lost several of those now!)  She is just going straigh up!

The sun is shining so Mike may go out and work in the yard some getting that spring fever a little early around here!

We will be keeping your FIL in our prayers.  Please keep mine in yours.  Mike's dad is not doing well.  Looks like we are going to Tennessee next weekend to check in on him.

Were cleaning and hoping to get my car washed, so we can go to the lake for a nice walk. Then this evening were planning on going to a movie! So its a busy day at the Smith house, hope we can get it all in!
