bloody....(this is a gross question)
Ok so I am 4 days post op and had to go back to the hosp last night for burning in my chest. Im fine. Its acid apparently, I DIDNT KNOW THAT. I am now concerned b/c I pooped today and it was nothing but blood clots. is this normal? I mean I know they had to cut my intestines...so I would expect a little blood. but not a toilet bowl full!
im in panic...please help.
When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me".

I agree with the others... go to the ER. Please update as soon as you can. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

i went to the er last night, and dr facundus made me feel really bad by saying "there is nothing wrong with you and we need the beds"
im worried about myself, but what if he comes back and says...."there is nothing wrong with you"? I am at the point now where i wonder why on earth i did this to myself.
im in tears as i write this. its horrible and im tired of being sickly.
I realize you don't know me, BUT this IS NOT normal! There IS something going on and you do NEED to GO to the ER NOW!!! Forget what the dr. said last night, this is a new day and different symptoms. Honey, you need to go NOW! If I were closer, I would be at your doorstep!

One point I'd like to raise - my post-op training specifically said to call the surgeon's service instead of the ER, an Urgent Care or my local doctor. It makes sense to me that they're the experts on this surgery and can give the best advice.
Going back to your 6:51 post, did your surgeon specifically say that passing blood is normal after this surgery? Also, was the blood bright or dark red? The freshness of the bleed could change his answer. Has this happened again?
Hope you're doing better!

Please at least call them and let the answering service page Facundus for you, let him know about the most recent developments. Having burning in your chest and having a major Lower GI Bleed is very different and could be serious.
I hope you are feeling better, keep us updated,
