Tragedy in Huntsville Today
This morning early, a young girl was driving her car on Research Park Blvd when a truck apparently pulled into her path. (For those familiar with the area, it was at Dan Tibbs Road and Rideout Road). Her car was crushed underneath the trailer and she was entrapped in the vehicle. Although she was injured, she was able to use her cell phone to call her parents and tell them of the accident. While bystanders attempted to remove her from the car, her parents rushed to the scene of the accident. Just at the parents arrived at the scene,
the car engine caught fire and the bystanders were unable to remove her from the car. UNFORTUNATELY, these parents had arrived on the scene in time to witness the horror of their 16 year old child perishing as her car was engulfed in flames. No one could get her out! I can not imagine the anguish that this family must be facing.
These parents had three daughters and this is the middle child. They are a very religious family and I am sure it is their faith that will carry them through the very difficult days ahead. The parents names are Paul and Gina Stover and the young lady who lost her life was Whitney. Please keep them in your prayers and add them to your Church prayer list.
(As a side note--some of you have heard me tell the story of how, over eight years ago, I had a friend, who had a friend--that had a ****atiel. She also had three young girls and one of them had asthma that they thought was worsening since having had the bird in their home. They asked me if I would take the bird for a couple of weeks and keep him to see if the Asthma improved.
Well...her asthma did improve and that is the bird that I still have today. My bird came from the family that lost one of their precious daughters today.)
