I had my first chemo treatment yesterday and did pretty good. I came back to work for about an hour but after that I had to go home and take it easy. Last night Leo and I walked for 30 minutes and then this morning we walked for about an hour. I've lost a total of 5 lbs. since my first visit with the Oncologist. That's great news. I'm pretty sure that the Sour Patch candy was adding pounds faster than I care to think about. I was addicted but thank God I haven't had any in 2 weeks. Believe me, this is a miracle. I also stopped eating 2 packs of cheese crackers every day. Leo is making me eat healthy. Thank God for a wise husband. We went to Walgreen's and bought me a pink cap for my hair loss and you know what he did? He bought one for himself to wear while I'm having my treatments. Now that's love!!!!
This morning I go take the Neulasta shot (to help build up red blood cells). This shot can make you ache in your muscles and bones so please pray that I won't have any side effects. The shot is over $3,000.00 if you can imagine. I have to pay $600.00 for every shot. I'm so thankful for insurance!!! Also thank God that I had a little money put back from the sale of my house. God knows ahead of time, doesn't He?
Thank all of you for your cards and gifts. My friends here have been better to me than my friends here in town. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! It means a great deal to feel loved.
Got to go now. I love you guys and appreciate your prayers.
Feeling much love,
DebbieDoo

As a fellow cancer survivor, I am sending up prayers of health and healing for you. I pray that you don't get too many side effects and that you maintain your health as you go through your treatment.
Good thing you gave up those Cabbage Patch Kids...doesn't sound like a healthy snack. Keep eating healthy and taking your supplement. You need to stay healthy! Congrats on losing 5lbs! I think I found two of them...lol.

So glad to hear you're doing so well - isn't our God amazing - He knows our every need before we even have a hint of what's ahead. I love hearing stories of how He takes care of HIS own. I'll be praying for you & that sweet husband of yours....that God will give you both the strength & wisdom you'll need in the days ahead.
Debbie,
I wanted you to know that I am thinking about you and love you so much!
Love,
Lindy
