Nothing tastes as good as being thinner feels.

I have to walk early in the morning, before my brain figures out what I'm doing.

Prior to WLS I had HIGH sugars.. type 2 diabetes I was told..was on Byetta also.. and pills. After having surgery I now have low BS. They CONSTANTLY run in the 50s and 60s. I had to go in the hospital on a 3 day fast! Which for me is EASY.. but the doctor says some have problems (all you can have is water)
Over these 3 days they are constantly checking your sugar and SYMPTOMS.. as woman sometimes can run low if you don't experience any symptoms then the specialist (Endocrinologist) told me that I am FINE!! They first thought I had hypoglycemia but without having symptoms the endo doc said that I am just one of those who run low!
Do you have an Endocrinologist?? If you don't .. Please see one!!
I hope this info helps you or someone else!

I am praying for you!!

 Julie,
My sister called me this morning and was sick. What symptoms do you have with the low blood sugar?  I think that may be her problem!

Thanks
Carol

Elle...Did your doctor mention taking chromium picolate?  My dr had me start taking that about 2 weeks ago and my bs hasn't dropped like that since I've been taking it.  You get it in the vitamin aisle.  However...you need to check with him before you start it.  It warns diabetics and hypoglycemics to only use it under a doctors care.  It's suppose to help level out the insulin.  It helps metabolize carbs, proteins and fats.  And it only cost $10 for 400 pills.  I only take one a day!  The other option was to go back on glucophage which would help level out the insulin level.  Used mostly in diabetics, but can also be used for hypoglycemics.

Did you check out the mayo clinic website?  It stated that hypoglycemia can be caused by a tumor on the pancreas causing the body to secrete too much insulin.  And is very common amoung people who have had gastric bypass.  Not trying to alarm you...but that's another possibility.  I don't think it's cancerous...and can be removed by surgery.  My dr said the only way to diagnose that was with an ultrasound.

I'm praying for you.  Keep us updated...
