Hi there!  I'm in Ironwood, MI and just starting out with this whole process. I was hoping to meet some local members/friends that are going through the same process. So anyone in the UP of MI or northern WI, add me!  It'd be great to talk to someone local.

Glad you are doing ok and good to see your post. I just recover from total abdominal hysterectomy 7 weeks ago and just a week ago I had cellulitis in my left leg.
Back at Bally's today after week off due to the cellulitis in my leg. Yep I wore my compression stockings today and made me alot hotter. Sure did alot more sweating today. I did only the elipitical at the gym and did 65 min burn 831 calories, 6.33 miles came home and did ball exercises 100 push ups, 200 sit ups and 200 side twist w/weight balls.

Hi! I'm here! Just really busy and haven't been visiting the website as much as I'd like!  I'm doing good. Just got the okay to start running on Friday! I had a heart monitor implanted inside my chest 2 weeks ago, so running and the skin by my collar bone was too sore. I hope this will give us answers to the wierdness that my heart does! Anyway, I am trying to fit in running now in the mornings, but I also got a part time that I can work whenever I want to. So, some days I like to go in before my full-time job and work a little bit. That means my running takes a back seat for now. I'm the only one working so money is very tight! My husband hasn't worked steadily in over a year, and since he's self-employed, there is no such thing as and unemployment check!  I just do what I can with what I've got!

Thanks for thinking of me ! I'll try to get back here more often!

Happy Easter everyone the scale moved today to 170

I already did my ball exercises push ups 105, sit ups 210, side twist 210. Now just got to do my recumbent when I watch movies with the kids today. No candy baskets for the kids they got dvds instead. They got one chocolate hollow easter bunny from there aunt and that is all the candy they got. Which is good they dont' need it due to they are overweight. Making a ham dinner today and no cake. Did get some skinny cow ice cream so good and low in calories.

I see Dr Reganj, but am still preop.  Your approval process will likely be determined by your insurance requirements.  I am on my final month of a 6 month supervised diet.  Had to see a psychiatrist too.  Pretty painless stuff.  Dr Regan feels that I will have a May surgery date.

Good luck

I had Dr. Regan and there is nothing bad or negative that I can say about him.  A very informative, caring and excellent doctor.  He is gifted in his specialty of doing bypass for weight loss.  I had the RNY almost 2 years ago.  I was clse to 300# and today I am close to 135#.  I have had no complications to speak of.  The doctor and the staff at Columbia St Mary's Hospital are very good and compassionate people in their job.  I am almost 57 years old and the only thing I wish I would have done different is had the surgery earlier in my life.  One must stay on program 100% to see these results.  I am worth it and so are you.
