Full liquids guidance

Per my surgeon's guidelines I have a 1 week clear liquid diet, a two week full liquid diet, and a 1 week soft food diet. After that, I am supposed to eat 3 meals per day without snacking while making sure I don't eat more than 4oz per meal. I am in the middle of the first full liquid week and haven't been tracking anything. I get as much broth with protein powder and herbal tea as I can and I eat one or two cans of strained soup per day. Should I be considering my strained soup as a meal and make sure I don't eat more than 4oz 3x per day or should I get down as much of it as I can since it is my main source of calories at this time? Just eyeballing it I seem to be able to eat about 1/4 cup of cream soup per sitting. I have no restriction for water or broths. What do you think?

When I was in liquid phase, I didn't pay attention to meals - I just made sure I was getting in all of my proteins and liquids. Meals didn't start to kick in until I hit pureed/soft foods.

I, personally, wouldn't worry. Just don't exceed your intake recommendations for volume over time. (Like I think I was supposed to do 2 ounces every 15 minutes or something like that.)
