What is your favorite cold medicine that is safe?

I find that only the behind the counter stuff with pseudoephedrine does any good. And Afrin nasal spray is good for unclogging sinuses. Other than that, throat coat tea and chicken soup. I do think Zicam does shorten cold duration.  Diane S

I know I'm late in responding, but maybe for next time. My surgeon also recommends Tylenol Cold medicine. There are a few Tylenol cold medications out there. Hope you're feeling better.

Not too late for me - this cold is kicking my butt and I really needed to read this thread right now!
