I love seeing what people post about their food for the day.

How much of each item is being consumed?

How many ounces of chicken, how many cups of salad, etc.

Thank you!

It's probably better to ask people individually on the post itself :)

Most of my meals are 4 ounces - I weigh on the scale.

When I post, my meals are 3oz, unless otherwise specified (or if it's a Premier Protein or Atkins Lift).

Are you weighing or measuring the 3oz.?

I weigh -- I have a digital scale accurate to 0.5oz/1g.

That being said, my "3oz" is between 2.9 and 3.1 oz -- I don't lose sleep over that level of accuracy.

I pre-portion into 3 1/4 oz souffle cups like this one:

mine can be variable.  I post generics in the am, but I will try to put my grams up in the daytime.  Like at lunch, I had too much turkey, & I'm feeling it.  That stupid "why leave that little bit in the package in the refrigerator" automatic fat brain thing.  Just a couple extra bites and you're fighting back the slimies...

For me, the amounts changed as I was further out from surgery. I may have weighed out 2oz at the beginning, but often my plate was only 1/2 empty when I was finished (if it was dense protein like I was supposed to be eating)...

Now I measure out between 2.5-3oz of dense protein, and then add the side items (non-starchy veggies ideally) to add up to a total of 4oz. I still don't always finish that all either.

Somehow, I've learned to like having leftover on my plate... even if only a bite or two. Makes me feel good for some reason.

I loved seeing what / how much people ate when I was early out.

I use a salad plate and weigh 3 oz. protein, 2 Tbsp. starch and 1/2c. non-starchy vegetable or fruit.  I eat protein first and if I have room I eat the rest. The majority of the time I have food remaining. I agree, I love to see what people are eating.

I eat anywhere between 3-4 oz of protein. Total meal is somewhere between 4-6 oz.
