Im such a worrier.!!!! I had mis understood the nurse and had thought she said at the three week mark i were to start soft food diet and have been eating them for two days.!! And just was looking at the nutrition part in my book and relized thats not what she ment. Now i am afraid i have ruined something by doing this, i have no fever pain or nausea, no racing heart, im hydrated. I would know if i have leak would i not ???

If you have been eating soft food diet for two days with no complication then you are fine.

If your tummy was not ready for soft foods, it would have made you uncomfortable, and you would have stopped.  If you've had no problems, then you are fine.

I'd suggest going back to your programs recommendations.  But I don't think you have anything to worry about.

best wishes,

Carol

Just return to your plan. You are aware of what the symptoms might be and have none. This is good :)  I was at purees by 3 weeks, so it is not like you were eating a bucket of popcorn and washing it down with handfuls of nuts. Back to plan you go and you will be Ok.

It's okay. Relax.

Go back to your plan and you'll be fine.  If you had "ruined" anything, you'd be in excruciating pain.  There's not a big difference between pureed and soft foods.

You should be fine. Its has a lot to do with tolerance than anything else. So if you are dealing with it ok then you haven't ruined anything. That being said, your surgeon has a plan to optimize your weight loss and you should stick to that plan for the greatest chance of success.

Leaks most typically happen in the first days post-op not 3 weeks later. Now I will also say that 3 weeks out you still do not have that much feeling in your new stomach so you will not get typical "full" signals so be careful about how much you eat, take small bites and wait.
