Diet -3 years post op
I am almost 3 years post op and have maintained my weight loss of 100lbs. I am still 20-30 pounds from where I would like to be. I have noticed that I can eat alot more now, which scares me! Just curious if fellow post ops maintain a carb free diet. I can eat almost anything if I wanted; however, I do not! I thought about trying Weigh****chers; however, they encourage more carbs. Maybe I just need to cut out the carbs completely. I would love to know meal plans for those of you that are post op more than 2 years. Thanks.

Doesn't Weigh****chers have a CORE plan?
i've been secretly
contemplating going to them to help me get these last few pounds off.
However, I am only a year out.

Yeah, I know about that. I told the friend that was going to go with me that she was not to talk to anyone about my surgery. But, if someone did say something. I would totally stand up for myself. I hate people that judge when they don;t know what they are talking about.
I know what you mean, Kathy! My husband's particular group is pretty supportive of what I've done BUT we went to my daughter's group in another city so they could "ooh" and "aah" over him, and my daughter told me not to say anything about losing 130 pounds and the surgery and stuff and that made me feel really bad - like I should be ashamed! Since then, I've been very down on WW - but if you go, good luck to you and I hope it helps!!

I, also, am almost 3 years out. I reached my goal - but would have loved to lose another 25-30 pounds. I didn't want to be "critical" of myself so I was content to be 145-150 (150 was my goal). I did real good maintaining until around this past December. I still write down everything I eat and I exercise 6 days a week but have creeped up to 155-160 - and I find this VERY disturbing! I know I can eat more than I could originally but I force myself to measure everything so that I don't. I lessened my intake, I upped my exercise - but nothing seems to make a difference. I, also, have toyed w/cutting out carbs totally - but I really am not sure I can live like that forever, you know? I know I can be content forever w/how I'm eating now - but I don't want to keep putting on. I find this all very frustrating!! Anyway, I will give you a sample of a "normal" day for me and I would love to see what a "normal" day for you is to compare. Best of luck!!!

I'm 2.5 years out and I still eat extremely low-carb. I'm still diabetic, though to a much lesser extent than before surgery, so that helps a lot in watching my diet. I am below my goal, and still losing a little. Not much appetite, though some days I just STAY hungry. I still do protein shakes and bars. Lots of salads with protein. I'm pretty hard-core about what I eat. I actually need to eat more. Carbs make me hungry and crave more carbs. Good luck!
