I recently started back work at a child care center. I still come home and do housework, run the kids around, cook, etc...I have been getting really tired lately. Maybe it is getting back into things. But when I lay down at night I get nervous and cannot sleep. Today was bad....I had to take Gabriel to the dentist in Columbia and felt like I was going to have to pull over and sleep plus I feel I am having some sight problems. My eyes are tired and the sunlight hurts them...I admit I have not been taking my vitamins at all. I started as soon as I came home. I also haven't taken my thyroid meds since Surgery. My hair is starting to fall out. I have lost 75 lbs and have stopped again..Some advice would be great...Oh and I have been a real Witch with a b the last few days. I thought I was going to have to take someone out this morning....Strange huh.........Oh and make me feel better guys...Today is my 37th birthday....It hasn't been great but I am thankful to be alive and have what i have. The Lord is good to me always...I got lost in Columbia but he put me back on track....Love to youall....Love Jennifer..

First off Jennifer, Happy Birthday . Vitamins are important...so start right away.  Protein is also important - both for energy and hair loss.  Are you getting enough?  Finally, why in the world did you stop taking  your thyroid meds.  This surgery doesn't change anything to do with your thyroid and if it isn't working you can have all of these symptoms.  I think you need to go back to the doc who prescribed your thyroid meds and have blood work done.... Hope you feel better soon!

Hey Jennifer :) I wrote u on myspace but Happy birthday again!!! From someone who did not take their vitamins for 5 mths straight, I can tell you it is NOTTTT a good idea at all.. I thought I was invincible and could beat the system (i hate taking med's daily) .. so I didnt take them.. and when I was 6 mths post op it all came crashing down so to speak.. I went to the gym for 2 weeks straight, felt fine.. then all of a sudden my body decided to stop on me.. it hit me like a ton of bricks. I was in the bed and couldnt keep my eyes open i was so tired and couldnt move.. I called my doctors office after the third day of this crying telling them i was dieing.. I had never felt so horrible in my life. I was obviously malnurished and killing myself.. All because i was too lazy to take my vitamins. Since then Ive been trying to make sure i take every single one , although I missed a week here or there and i can REALLY feel it when I do.. My body is depleted.. Im about to get my 1 yr labs done and im scared of what they will be! I know its not good. They told me they had ppl in the office who didnt take their vitamins and lost the use of their arms, found out they were B1 deficient, took a supplement and it got better... I know how you feel when u say you feel like you can fall asleep while driving or could go asleep anywhere.. I still have this at times. Like the other day i was eating lunch and i said "if i werent in public, i would lay in the floor right now and pass out for 3-4 hours!" Its crazy I had more energy at 320 lbs than i do now, but I did it to myself. PLEASE dont follow my path because its been an uphill battle to get back to feeling anywhere near normal. I regret not taking my vits and wish i could undo what ive done but I cant.. all i can do is warn others to not follow in my footsteps.. its disasterous.. if it would almost "kill" me(or at least make me feel like it) and im 25, then im sure it would be alot worse for someone twice my age. I hope you feel better and please make sure you take those vits'!!! If for no other reason, for Gabriel :) He needs his mommy!  And Go get your thyroid checked and get back on that medicine its dangerous to not take that! ((((((((HUGS))))))))))

Hi Jennifer, Keep in mind, also.... if you are not getting in enough water... you will feel tired too.   Its a tough balance when you are so busy, i understand.   I am sorry things are so tough right now.   Protein, Vitamins, H2O, sleeeeeeep, excercise if you can.......even if its just a 20 min walk....  it really does give you energy.  and please do take your thryoid meds.    PLEASE!!     Those babies need you, and so do weeeeeee.   I wish I could see you when I come visit, but I know that there wont be time this trip.....    but I will be back.   I am DEF. moving there.   I made up my mind today!!!!   lol.  ok,  well, I have to come visit first, but I have the strongest feeling that it is where I belong.   and here is NOT where I belong (here meaning boston!)    I cant take it another minute..... !! xoxo

Thank you everyone. I just got up from a nap. I did start taking my vitamins today. I get busy and forget about me sometimes. About the thyriod meds I will start them too. I was taking 150 mg. Should I just start taken what I had before or call my PCP to get blood work first? I do get lots of protein. I eat mostly meat. Chicken and fish are my friends. I run around like a mad woman trying to get things done. Before I couldn't and felt helpless. Now I can do so much so I think I stretch myself a little thin...Thats funny..a little thin...hehe..anyway, I love you all and will do what I need to do. I still feel so tired....Gabriel has a bible program tonight for the Baptist Church here tonight for VBS...Next week it is off to my church...Gracepointe Church in St. George...If you would like to visit GP let me know...Gotta run...There I go again...Walk.....Love to you all Jennifer

Happy Birthday Jennifer!  !  Getting back into your routine will make any one tired.  You are about right on schedule for the hair loss.  Mine started at about 3 mths out and slowed around 8.  So that is normal.  Get back on the vitamins!  I know if I go a couple a dayd without mine I get little headed and it is not good.  Go get your eyes checked.  And Call Dr. B's ofrc and let them know, they may have more of an answer.   I hope this helps and that you had a good b-day. Julie

I can go the distance... I do not care how far... I know every mile will be worth my while.

My goal in life is to be as good of a person as my DOGS already think I am!
