Oh Patti,  WE LOVE YOU...just think of how wonderful you have done and what you have accomplished...going to the gym-that "walk" from the street...

Oh Patti, I know the feeling.   I try to either talk on the phone, go for a walk or get on the computer and talk to people...but sometimes nothing helps.  Hang in there and know you are not alone....

I'm so sorry that you are going through this.    I don't have any magical words for you but if it makes you feel any better, I've been going through the same thing the last few weeks.  Just keep your head up and know you have a ton of people how care about you and are there for you anytime.  Next time you want to reach for some snacks, reach for the phone and call someone...me included!  My work # is 449-4664.  Just remember that this is just a bump in the road and that this too will pass. Take care!

Melanie

I so understand what you are going through.  I feel like I graze more than a "d@MN COW."  Even though I eat a lot of fruit and things that are good for me...I feel like I eat way to0 much.  I can eat melons and strawberries like nobody's business!!  It's awful.  I know my pouch must be the size of a basketball!!!    I wish I had ideas but I think the thing that helps me the most is to sleep which I have more time to do since I am out for the summer.  But, I usually wake up hungry!!!!    So, that doesn't always work!!!   I also try to work out in the afternoon since this is the time that I start to get more stressed out about situations in my life.  I'm not much help because I'm just like you but maybe this will help you a little bit. hey Patti!

I don't know if this will hel*****t, but look at it this way...

You are healthy, you just got a second job, and you are in inspiration to those of us who are newly post-op...  I look forward to reading your posts and I learned a lot from your talk that you gave when I was a pre-op.  My hubbie is almost 4 years out, and he chose not to go the support route.  He has kept off 230 pounds, but he will eat stuff from time to time that he knows is not a good choice.  The thing is, he doesn't do it a lot... just like the cake thing- so you ate some cake.., just don't do it again for awhile... I have found that Lance peanut butter crackers are wonderful little things to have in the event that I am caught somewhere and need to have something.... You have done so very well, remember the effort that you have put into yourself and then get with some folks who will continue to help you focus on your goals.   Hope this helps a little!!! Smile and do like Jimmy Buffet   "breathe in, breathe out... move on"

Just try on some of your old clothes you wore before surgery and try to remember why you had WLS to begin with. The clothes alone should shock you out of the cravings, lol. Hugs! Mary
