I am depressed, broke and stressed. All those things combined are leading me to eating and I don't want to do it but it is the way I have always handled it. Please give me ideas of what you do instead of reaching for food.  Any and all advice is welcomed! Thanks, Patti I just ate a small piece of cake at work and I am sick!!!! ugghhhhhh

aww Patti, I will keep  you in my prayers! Are there high protein snacks you have handy that you can grab during times like these? When I am at work surrounded by tons of junk food, I reach for my stack of files and go conquer those...I hate doing it, but it keeps me busy and focused. Good Luck! Melissa

Patti I know exactly how you feel. I do the same thing because it is what we have been acustomed to for so long and so hard to get out of it. It's sort of like trying to teach an old dog new tricks.  So I say eat, but try to make some better choices.  I carry apples, crackers, popcorn, pnutbutter, and gum with me at all times that way when I'm ready to eat, I'm prepared. But, like Colleen said Monday night.  Don't beat yourself up if you fall off the wagon some and eat something your not supposed to because we are still not going to eat as much as we used to.  Look at how much you have accomplished and how far you have come.  A friend of mine was looking at your profile yesterday and she said you looked fabulous.  You've come a long way so don't let a little cheating every now and then bring you down.   Love Ya

Wish I had some words of wisdom, but I do not.  I am finding myself in that boat with you.  I know I have been trying to reach for the snacks that have protein.  That way the snacking at least is getting me some protein.  But I still am reaching for chocolat.  Lets hope this passes soon.  I need to get back on track. Hey Julie! How are you doing?  I know you are really excited about your new venture.  You mentioned reaching for chocolate???  I love it but I found something thanks to Jill in Boston that satisfies that craving with a whopping 20 grams of protein.  They are called Think Thin.  They have a bunch of chocolate flavors and keep them in stock at Whole Foods.  You can buy one at a time or a whole box.  I have three boxes and would be happy to share with you iof you want to try one.  I have the Chunky P-Nut Butter; the Brownie Crunch and the Dark Chocolate.  Just let me know.

Hugs & kisses

Dollie

Hey Dollie! I am doing well, a little nervous but excited.  I would love to try those bars.  I am so addicted to drak chocolate so if you have a spare one of those, would love to try it.  Are you going Sunday to Susann?  If so can you bring it.  I do appreciate it! Julie

I'll be glad to share with you.  I only have a chocolate fudge with me today.  Are you planning on going to Pizza Inn this afternoon?  If so, You can have this one but if not, I can courier you a dark chocolate tomorrow if you can give me a daytime street address or I can bring it next Thursday to Pizza Inn.  Whatever suits you!  Let me know.

The next time I will be at Pizza Inn is the 21st.  My other life is keeping me away right now .  I am doing a lot of running around tomorrow, trying to get the truck legal here is SC.  So I will be downtown, dont you work DT?  If so maybe I can swing in there to get one.  Does not matter to me. Oh Patti! I wish I had some advice for you, but I am seeing a therapist for this very thing! AND I STILL EAT THINGS I AM NOT SUPPOSED TO!!

Maybe you could start and online journal or blog and make it private.  When you get to feeling bad, just go and write in it.  Even if you type the word f*ck 100 times, it might make you feel better.  Hehe.  Make it private and you won't have to worry about anyone reading it, and if you can access it from work, even better.  It will look like you are working REALLY hard if you are typing furiously!  Works for me anyway!LOL! Or do something to keep your hands busy.  I was doing the jewelry thing for a long time.  Knitting might be something you could do.  Yarn is cheap and it take a while to finish a project and you can't eat while you are knitting! But if you come up with a miracle cure, please let us know.  I think everyone here is in the sameboat as you. Kathy
