I am going!!!!!

I just got back from the Dr. B's ofc and I am going to MB. I wish I could have posted when I found out, I was so excited. I get to go. Now the bad news. I have surgery schedule for this Tuesday. What they think has happened is when you have such a weight loss the fat that is holding the small intestines in place is no longer there and the small interstines start to creep up and dislodge. He said he saw this in one other case about 6 mths ago. I would be a rare complication He said that the CT scan just did not look normal and that is what he thinks has happened. I was also told that if I start having any trouble to get myself back to MUSC, even if it is by ambulance. But I am not going to have trouble. I am going to be just fine and going to have a blast. I am so excited I can still go. I told Dr. Byrne about our little trip with everyone and he seemed very pleased and happy for us that we are doing it. Thanks for all the prayers and positive thoughts... I know that is the reason I can go. I will see you guys tomorrow. Julie

It should be just lap unless he gets in there and finds he can not do it lap. If that is the case then he will open me up. He said it should be only about a 40 minute procedure but I will staying over night unless they find nothing. I will let you guys know as soon as I am able. Thanks Julie
