OMG, I am in pain...

OMG I am in so much pain. This going to the gym thing hurts. The first two day weren't so bad, I kinda took it easy by walking on the treadmill. Today I walked 1 1/2 miles to start with. Then my trainer had me doing squats ( I hate them) with and without weights, bicept curls and push ups and a few other things. We didn't take a break between anything. We hurried from one excersize to the other to keep the heart rate up and to burn fat. I don't know if I burned any fat or not, but my heart was pounding out of my chest. I could barely walk across the room with my jello legs. My upper body doesn't hurt, but oh Lord does my lower body. When I can walk to the bathroom I am going to soak in the tub. Heck if I can't get out they may find me there in the morning. I cooked turkey chili last night, and all I did was pull the crock pot out of the fridge and turn it back on. That works for supper to me. Now just let me get ahold of the person that said this is the easy way out. Easy way my butt This getting beautiful thing sure is hard. I can't wait to see the beautiful butterfly come out of this bulkie "ole cacoon. Deb

Hey Deb! I'm so impressed!!! I couldn't do a squat if my life depended on it ... my knees are too grouchy! Hope you enjoy your soak in the tub, it'll probably work wonders on those sore muscles of yours. Have a great weekend! Dawn

What gym did you join? I just joined Pivotal Fitness today on Trolley Road so I will start Monday. I am still on a plateau. I'm glad you are doing so great and you seem so much more gung ho than I was after surgery. You go girl! Love, Tina Z

Yea we go to Pivotal also. I have been going there ever since they first opened as Omni. When do you go? Trent likes to go at 5:30 or 6am in the morning. Thats a little too early for me right now. I like to go mid day. Maybe we can work out some together. That way we can hold one another accountable. Deb

I am so impressed but please be careful. You're not too far out from surgery so make sure you are getting in your liquids and protein. Hope you enjoyed your lecture love, "mom"

Trust me, it gets better! Free weights, push-ups, squats and lunges are some of the best thing you can do to see improvement in your body. Muscle will lean you out and give you such a better shape than doing just cardio.

Ok Deb you had me worried there for a minute until I read the post... Good for you getting to the gym. Wish I was that dedicated. I just walk around my block. I am with you there about getting ahold of the people who think this is the easy way out. I got ya back on that one girl. Julie

O man, today is the day after and I hurt so bad that I can hardly sit down to pee. I can slide out of my truck, but getting into it is crazy. I can't hardly lift my legs. Just you wait, when I can walk again, and lift my leg, I am going to kick my trainer right in the buttox. Deb

I COMMEND YOU ON YOUR EFFORTS & DEDICATION MS DEB ... BUT, BE CAREFUL SWEETIE. YOU JUST HAD MAJOR SURGERY IN WHICH YOU HAD ORGANS SEVERED, REROUTED & STITCHED BACK TOGETHER. IT TAKES 3 MONTHS TO COMPLETELY HEAL INSIDE. WALKING & TREADMILL IS ONE THING, BUT WORKING OUT SO HARD (especially with weights) THAT YOU CAN'T EVEN WALK AROUND NORMALLY IS PUSHING IT TO THE EXTREME THIS CLOSE TO YOUR SURGERY! WHY WOULD A TRAINER EVEN THINK THIS IS SAFE AFTER MAJOR SURGERY? YOU HAVE A LIFETIME TO GET IN SHAPE, DON'T TRY TO DO IT ALL IN THE 1st WEEK & END UP HURTING YOURSELF. GOD BLESS YOU ... DAWN & NICK
