ok as I said before I am 3yrs post op and have had 14 surgeries since that time due to complications. I am finally at a point where i feel like my health might actually be improving some. During the past year i actually gained some weight back. the doctors all told me not to stress over it, that it was do to all the meds and down time. Well the other day I was traveling back to NC and went into one of those bathrooms in a rest area type place. Of course they had a scale in there and I couldnt pass it up. I havent weighed myself since January. Well I about died. I had gained like 10 more pounds. It was awful . I cried halfway to NC....Anyway that was Sunday and I decided right then and there that I wasn't having it.....Since then I have drank nothing bu****er..and lots of it....and have ate very little..jus****ching carbs and making sure i get protein in....It's funny cause it was so much easier 3yrs ago when this all started. It has been tough and its only been 5/6 days but I am actually quite proud of myself cause I am sticking to it. I have a goal to lose 40 pounds by September...So I am going to be working hard...Wish me luck on this goal........

I wish you all the best! I feel like I know how you feel right now and I am only a year out! I am trying to go back to the basics, but it is hard. Once you've crossed that line, it is hard to go back. I want to reach goal!! Got to get that exercise back in too. I've been working out everyday at lunch again. Not much, but I had stopped completely. You can do it! We can do it together! Kathy

Hey Tina ... I do wish you all the best as you re-commit yourself to better health and lower weight. It's good to hear from someone who had surgery 3 years ago, and also good (and SCARY) to hear that the pounds WILL come back unless we stay diligent and keep working on things. Keep us updated on your progress ... and GOOD LUCK! ~ Dawn

Thank you for responding...It is weird but it is so hard but so easy at the same time. I think with all the surgeries and complications my head just wasnt in it right and now I am back..focused...and I am going to reach my goal...Plus the added incentive is I live at the beach...I have no choice but to lose it.....LOL....take care everyone and I will keep you all posted
