good and bad 1 yr appt

The good news is that it was 1 year appointment for surgery today. The bad news is that I have to have a CT scan done tomorrow. Twice now in the last 2 weeks I have been woken up with sharp cramping pains in my stomach region, no nausea or vomiting. Dr Byrne wants to do a CT scan tomorrow because he thinks I have an internal hernia. It looks like my no problem run just ended! I was hoping the next surgery would have been the plastics. I am not looking forward to another abdominal surgery in 1 year. Please send me happy, happy thoughts and prayers. I am about to cry and have no idea where to turn. Thanks Julie

Let's just hope that it is not a hernia and that with some medication everything will be alright. Even if it is a hernia and you have to have an operation, you will be fine. You have lots and lots of people praying for you! Susan

Thanks Susan! I am keeping my fingers crossed. But I will tell you this, if I do have to have hernia surgery it WILL BE AFTER Myrtle Beach. Plus that is Spring Break around here, easier time for me to take off. Julie

WE'LL JUST PRAY THAT IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, MS JULIE ... WANNA KEEP YOUR "NO PROBLEM" RUN GOING & GOING & GOING! FUNNY THING WITH TRI CARE PRIME ... IF YOU HAVE A HERNIA, THEY WILL ALMOST ALWAYS APPROVE A TUMMY TUCK ... SO, IN A BACKWARDS WAY, A HERNIA CAN BE A GOOD THING! GOD BLESS YOU ... DAWN & NICk

Funny thing I thought about that. I guess what they say is true, great minds do think alike. I will have to pursue that with my insurance if it turns out to be a hernia, but I still may be too soon out, just dont know. That was one question I wanted to ask Dr. B today but this kinda took front seat. Plus they were slammed. My appt was for 1030 and I did not get back there until after 11a. We will see... Thanks Julie

Julie, This happened to me about a year ago. All was okay, my internal stitches never dissolved. So I'm wishing and hoping that its just something like that for you. Prayers your way Mary
