Hi I was just wondering what is the wait time on approval from insurance that do cover baratric services? I have blue choice dose anyone else have this insurance

I had MUSC options which is sort of like blue choice. Once they got all of the paperwork, it was about 48 hours for an approval. Blue Choice is supposed to be great. Mary

Hi Shevrone, I think the waiting time is different for everyone, depending not only on insurance companies but also on the individual employer's particular contract. I have United Healthcare, and was approved 9 days after I "showed up" in their system ... meaning about a month after my paperwork was sent from the surgeon's office. Who is your surgeon? The office staff there might be able to give you an idea about how long your wait might be. Welcome to the SC board.
