I have heard many stories about how weight has been lost. Is there a time scale about how much weight should be lost at what particular time period?

I'm afraid not. The best advice that was EVER given to me was given to me by a professor when I was in grad school: Don't compare yourself to your peers. Listen to what your doctor says, but don't judge how you're doing compared to how anyone else is doing. Lisa

The professor was wonderful for telling me that -- he took the time to come by my office to talk to me, but I couldn't appreciate the wisdom of his advice at the time. Thank you! The puppy's name is Christabel, and she is a mess! I can't imagine what we'd do without her.... Lisa

Holly, If you go to Dr. Byrne's Patient Forum you will see a graph tool that will give you an estimate of what you are to lose totally and monthly. However, I dont like it cuz if it is in any way true I am behind in my weight loss. Good Luck though. Jennifer
