9 Months

(from my profile page) I had my 9 month appointment with Dr. Bour yesterday. (Saw Melony ... oh my GOD, she looks like a movie star. Her husband looked so proud and happy with her. Congratulations Melony ... look how far we've come since this time last year!) Dr. Bour said I was on track ... doing well. He introduced another doctor, who sat in on our appointment. Don't know whether he was an intern, a partner, or WHAT, and now I can't even remember his name. When I was ready to leave, Dr. Bour mentioned my complications and described a little of what I went through to the other doctor. He said, jokingly, "Yeah, she was hating me back then!" I was quick to clear THAT up ... I was hanging on to him like a lifeline back then. He saved my life. Thank you, Dr. Bour! So ... in nine months, I've lost 114 pounds. Since I started at Dr. Bour's office, almost exactly a year ago, I've lost 135 pounds. My goal is to lose another 18 to 25 pounds. I think I can! Dr. Bour asked me to wait until the one-year mark to even think about plastic surgery. I only think about it when I'm naked. Arrrghhh!!! I wish I could find more time to be online here to respond to each and every post ... know that I'm thinking of y'all every day ... even when I'm not here. Love y'all ... Dawn

Your awsome Dawn! Last time I saw you you looked absolutely terrific. You know that you have been a big inspiration to me and I only hope I can do as well as you have. I hope one time Dr. Bour will tell me I'm right on target, but it didn't happen at my 3 month follow-up, I am 10 pounds too heavy for 3 months out. But at least I'm losing, even if it is slow. Mary, Dr. Bour told me on Friday that at my 6 month appointment I was a little behind, although he didn't make me feel bad for it at the time. I was "slightly behind the curve" 3 months ago, and all caught up now. I have no doubt you will lose in spurts just like me, and have the same experience. You hang in, and keep doing what you're doing. And thank you for the love ... it's returned to you! Dawn
