Are weightloss supplements safe after WLS?
I was just wondering if anyone knew if it was safe for me to take a weight loss supplement. Dr. B advised me that he wants me to lose another 50lbs in the next 6wks and I really don't think that is possible. I have been exercising 5-6 days/week for at least 45min and consuming no more than 750 calories/day. I only lost 40lbs in the first 6wks since surgery. I have been researching this online but I really can't find any information on this. Just wanted to get some experienced opions. Thanks.....
I assume youre meaning like a diet pill??? You just had surgery 6 weeks ago, I would not take any diet pill or anything close to that right now. You never know the effects it can have on your new pouch and in my opinion the diet pills that work are too closely related to speed! They're very dangerous.. i hated the way they made me feel.. So im sure this close to surgery your body does not need the added stress.. Dont stress out over the expectations, shoot for the goal if not met so be it! you will get there in your own time! if youve lost that much so far, then you probably can double it.. but everyone is different. .That is alot of weight in a short time! You are doing awesome too by the way

I was in the same boat you are now I lost slow very slow ,I was not getting in enough calories so I upped my calories & weight loss started again my body went in to starving mode & was trying to hang on to everything that came in I was told to try & get at least a 1000 calories a day & I go to gym & walk also so make sure you are getting in protein!water,& enough food I know crazy telling you to eat but we need fuel or our body,it takes time relax you will get there soon
