Update on Joan M
Just an update...I have taken 3 gas-x and two prevacid. I also laid down with heating pad on tummy...thanks to whoever told me to do that. I am sitting for the first time since this afternoon because of the pain. I am afraid it may be another ulcer. Dr. S told me to go to ER if feeling worse but I learned the last time not to go when Dr. S isn't in the house because they do not treat GB patients the way they should...sorry but true. So if not better by morning I will call Dr. S and ask if he can admit me for tests and fluid. I am having trouble now taking fluids in and we all know what happens when that starts. Been there done that do not want repeat!
I am just overwhelmed by the caring responses I have received from the boards I frequent. Everyone has been so supportive and thoughtful...I cried when DD told me I had so many emails she couldn't count them...smile...So I am posting this message as update on each board. May the Lord bless each of you for your kindness to me.
In His love and care,
Joan M
hey Joan,
Sorry I did not know about this until now. I have been dealing with my own little personal nightmare. I am soooo sorry you are feeling bad. If you have an ulcer, the heating pad isn't a great idea, but if its giving you relief, go for it.
I had a last minute stat MRI today and got home about 7:30pm, and it was not fun. I was praying through the whole thing because it was like being in a coffin, and loud and they strap you down. I saw the MRI, but could not see any little stones, but I saw it was big and not sure if its huge or not.
We are just waiting for the doctors as they 2 surgeons are fighting it out, and I even emailed Dr Byrne and he threw in his 2cents, but I had already done the tests he said. So, we are all waiting.
I am sooooo sorry you are feeling bad. Do you have Nexium? It gives me bad diahrrea. I know if its an ulcer, it will help it.
Love you Joni, praying for your. Feel better soon!!!! What is up with us both having the same/similar smptoms??
Hugggs!! (((HUG)))
Deb

Deb I totally understand about your bump in this journey and do not worry...the Lord has been there for me for sure! I feel much better and am getting ready to send update. The Prevacid did the trick and I feel much better. NO pain and am able to eat and drink! Praise the Lord...I went from 157.8 last Friday to 153.6 this morning. But I feel good. I took my vitamins this morning which I still couldn't do yesterday but I did get in protein shake and cottage cheese. SO I am on the mend. Dr.S had his nurse call me and she said if any more problems go to ER but try the Prevacid and see. So I do feel much better and am so happy not to go in the hospital. I just paid my balance of the bill from heart cath, IVC Filter, and RNY and readmit for dehydration and was not looking forward to the new bill. SO that is great stress reliever as we are on tight income since I homeschool. I will continue to pray for you my Dear Friend....Father God, You love Deb and You formed her and fashioned her in her mother's womb, I pray Father for healing for Deb and for strength...You WHo rose from the dead are able to this and so much more...please reveal Yourself today in this situation..In Jesus' Name...Amen
Love in Him WHo is More Than Able,
Joni
