for the ones who havent had this surgery please read my reply to deb(it is the last reply) on my previous post Titled (I year today). She asked me where do I think I would be today if I hadn't had this surgery.

Thanks for your reply on that, Crystal. Now that I have paid Dr Bour my fee I find myself trying to talk myself out of it...like 'If I just dieted or excercised a LITTLE more...am I POSITIVE I want to do this"....etc etc. For those having trouble locating Crystals repsonse, here ya go...and thanks, again, Crystal! "Yes, i do think back of where i would be without having the surgery. i would be bigger from eating all the time. Depressed, I stayed swollen all of the time. My feet hurt all the time (no matter what shoes i wore). My liver would be in worse condition, my heart and I would still be on all those medicines and I still wouldnt be having a regular monthly ( I would go months, even a year without having one unless I got provera from the doctor). I would do it all over again. I dont exercise (I need to start). But I do work a second job as a waitress and there is no way before my surgery I could stay on my feet and hustle like I do now at that job. For anyone *****ads this the surgery will change your life. Anyone who has in the back of their mind (well I might die). My decision was (if I dont have it I'll die anyway, but I wont go before God intends for me to) Yes I was scared but I made that decision on my own and I was OK with it. For any of you that haven't had this surgery and read this (your quality of life will be so much better). "

MAYBE BECAUSE I FOUGHT WEIGHT & OBESITY ISSUES FOR 27 YEARS, I DIDN'T HAVE A DOUBT IN MY MIND & I WASN'T THE LEAST BIT SCARED ... I WAS EXCITED! I THOUGHT,"WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE WORSE THAN THE LAST 27 YEARS?" SO, I WENT FORWARD & NEVER LOOKED BACK. IT WASN'T ALWAYS ROSES ... AS A MATTER OF FACT, WE HIT SOME REAL BUMPY ROADS AFTER SURGERY, BUT ALONG WITH THE CHALLENGES, THERE WAS ALWAYS SUCCESSES, SOMETHING THAT WAS FEW & FAR BETWEEN BEFORE SURGERY. SO, THE SUCCESSES (& MY NICKY, FRIENDS & FAMILY) KEPT ME GOING. YOU CAN DIE IN YOUR CAR BUT THAT DOESN'T STOP YOU FROM GOING TO THE STORE. THINK OF THIS SURGERY THAT WAY ... Lady Dawn...oh my gawd! So, I have spent the past hour reading your profile! I have laughed and cried my way through the whole thing...and I sit at the front desk at work! WITHOU****erproof mascara!!!, so thanks, I look like a crazy raccoon Your story, your recovery, and even your marriage is such an inspiration to me and I KNOW all the others that have read it along the way.
