I am nauseated every morning when I wake up. Does anyone know why this happens or what I can do to help? Thanks Jennifer

Well i remember being pregnant, they said when you wake up instead of getting out of bed, have saltines beside the bed, eat a couple of them and let your stomach settle then get up.. I dunno how well this would work for WLS, but it worked for pregnancy! Good luck with it! jen

THIS IS A "SIDE EFFECT" THAT SOME GASTRIC BYPASS PATIENTS SUFFER WITH. I BELIEVE IT WAS MS KELLY, MARY'S FRIEND, WHO HAD IT FOR SO LONG ... SHE WAS MISERABLE. MS DEB (in CA) USES SALTINE CRACKERS WHEN HER POUCH ACTS UP. NICK & I FOUND MULTI-GRAIN SALTINE CRACKERS THE OTHER DAY. THERE ARE ALSO LOLLY POPS CALLED "QUEASY POPS" THAT HAVE NATURAL HERBS & SPICES THAT SOME SAY HELP. OR, TRY MINT, PEPPERMINT OR CHAMOMILE HERB TEAS ... THEY MAY HELP. IT WILL PASS IN TIME. SORRY YOU'RE HAVING SUCH A HARD TIME. GOD BLESS YOU ... DAWN & NICk

Sorry you having such a hard time Jennifer. I have not had my surgery yet but am sure the saltines will help if you use them before getting out of bed. Keep us posted hon. Carolyn
