I've heard that Biotin works. Even my hairdresser friend recommends it. Jennifer

I know that you are probably tired of hearing this, but try to make sure that you keep your protein up. Mine hair is very thin and I was losing it horribly until I made sure that I got in enough protein every day. Mary

Hi Sharon! There is nothing you can do to stop it. It is normal to lose hair after you have major surgery and with rapid weight loss. Keep your protein intake up and some recommend Biotin. I never took Biotin. My hair was really coming out around 3 to 4 months and it lasted about 2 to 3 months. Now I have tons of new hair growth. It will slow down. Don't worry!!! It will be ok!!!! It is the price we pay to be skinny!!!!! Melissa

My hair started thinning at about 8 months, then after I had my knee surgery at 10 months, it really was really bad. I started taking Biotin about a month ago and also started using Nutri-Ox (shampoo, conditioner and treatment) that I got from Sally's, and it has really made a difference. Good luck!! Hugs, Dianne

I have the same problem but I started using Nioxin. It is kinda expensive and when you first start using it, it will make your hair fall out more (or so you think). It makes your hair look a lot fuller and I have been getting more compliments on my hair since I have been using it than before!!! Rachel

I take the Hair, Skin and Nail Vitamins that Wal-Mart has in a pink box. It has that bioton (sp?) in it and you take it 3 times a day. I also do the nioxon treatment which is shampoo, conditioner and some type of leave in stuff. Like Rachel said it is expensive but people notice a difference pretty quickly. Also cut your hair short, I have a kind of bob, but when it is shorter it looks fuller. I went for the illusion trick while I waited for the vitamins and treatment start working. Good luck and it will get better! Patti

Hi Sharon, I, too, have been finding the Nioxin works well. I also have had more compliments on my hair since using it, and I see new hair growth. It could be coinciding with the time my hair was due to grow back naturally (7 months out???), but I like it. I am using the scalp therapy #2 and the follicle booster, and plan to get the scalp treatment as well. Wi**** smelled better though.... Marce
