Hello everyone
Hi there..Thank you all who had me in their prayers while I have been recovering. I am doing better. I feel good today. I had to go back into the hospital Sat due to dehyration and other things. But now I am better. I am not hungry like I thought I would be. I am still doing mostly liquids because "Oscar" was irrated and swollen. Oscar is my pouch..Oscar the grouch pouch. I do not want to anger him. I did want to ask if anyone has tried mashed potatoes. And how did you make them? Like what seasoning and such. What consistancy? I do not want to dump...Oh and I guess from not eating anything but liquid I have already lost 18 pounds. Some was probably water weight because I tend to retain water. And I have my cycle too...How lucky can I get..
...But anyway, Love to all..Jennifer Vallentine..Oh and by the way..Dr. Bryne mentioned to my family that I had fatty liver...Anyone know about that..I do not drink at all. Byeeee Jen

Hi Jennifer,
Glad to read you're doing well. It'll take a while for "Oscar" to completely heal from surgery, so be gentle with him! I didn't do mashed potatoes, as my orders were to completely focus on protein during those first few weeks. My advice would be to make them fairly soupy with milk (if you can tolerate it), and go light on the butter and other seasonings.
Congrats on the 18 pounds. That is outstanding! Hope every day gets easier and easier for you ...

I am so glad that you are back home. I haven't been on the computer as much as I was before surgery. Just don't feel like sitting in the chair. I am so sorry that you have had problems and had to go back. Please drink, drink and drink. If you need me, give me a yell. Congrats on the 18 pounds. Just think, It's gone forever!!!
